With the current protracted recession still in play and a government budget deficit to reconcile, Her Majesty’s Government may be looking to trim some fat by giving its bloated £3.2 billion Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) the royal chop.
Such budget austerity measures for UK government spending should come as no surprise to anyone who has been following the political slate since the keys were exchanged at Downing Street this past June. It’s an all too familiar story in Westminster and the thing that all bureaucrats fear the most. When your departmental number is called, you realise that all the liquid lunches, expense accounts, canape receptions and conference junkets could soon come to an end. So it was only a matter of time before fiscal reality came home for a seat at DECC’s own annual gravy dinner.
The fact that Britain’s DECC is on the butcher’s block also signals that some ministers and policy gurus might be reconsidering whether the highly politicised global warming movement should be a top priority for the country, and evidence that some are now doubting the legitimacy of such a department. Policy makers are now weighing up the benefits of such a massive bureaucratic department which is steering a politcal agenda based solely upon what is now deemed to be highly questionable science by some- and outright fraud by others.

An article published onSept 22nd inthe Guardian, details the move brought on by the inevitable spending cuts pledged by Britain’s new coalition government:
“Climate change secretary Chris Huhne is fighting to defend his department’s funding and independence, fending off a suggestion that his civil servants should be moved to the Treasury to cut costs.”
“But when all government departments were asked to model the effect of 40% cuts over the summer, officials at Decc told ministers that cuts of that level to its £3.2bn budget would make it unable to stand alone as a viable entity. At that time it was suggested it merge with the business department, but that was never formally suggested to the Treasury. Instead the Treasury renewed a push to get Decc relocated.”
“The news came today as Huhne gave his speech to the Liberal Democrat conference. His pitch was that the government wanted to foster a “third industrial revolution” in low-carbon technology. But the techno-optimism of the speech sat awkwardly with the news that he has been forced to contemplate breaking up his department.”
Climategate: the scandal which damaged the credibility of global warming theory.
Today’s announcement in the UK and recently events like the unravelling and near collapse of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) in the US, where carbon trading prices have bottomed out at a rather lackluster .10 cents per tonne (see fire sale), have added additional momentum to the previously unpopular common sense, or climate realist cause.
What preachers of Anthropogenic Global Warming(AGW) and climate change are slowly discovering is that no amount of spin and political propaganda can cover up a lack of results over a long stretch. Money eventually runs out, people start losing interest and the gravy train always stalls as a result.
In the last 12 months radical climatism has certainly faltered from its lofty position in modern mythology… back down to Earth. The economic reality in any democratic nation is that taxpayers cannot back departments, much less policies, that do not deliver benefits to the public welfare. Here in the UK, we have a government department which is busying itself with an apocalyptic event… that is not even happening.
Skeptics have two things on their side: one is science and the other is mother nature. If science can rediscover its old backbone, it will simply present the data (what the UN’s CRU at East Anglia did not do) of what mother nature has really been doing all this time, namely, the data which shows that there has been no global warming since 1998.
Telegraph columnist Christopher Booker spelled out the current insanity behind UK government energy policy recently, “If all this sounds like pure lunacy, we must recall that two years ago, our MPs voted all but unanimously for the Climate Change Act. This commits Britain, uniquely in the world, to cutting its CO2 emissions by 80 per cent by 2050, at a cost of up to £18 billion a year, or £734 billion in total. This is what our politicians have made the law of the land, although in practice it could only be achieved by closing down virtually all our economy”.
There are numerous gov’t departments around the globe, including the UN’s own IPCC that have been erected in recent years to “tackle the climate change problem”. Although they market themselves as an environmental concern, they have their roots and structure firmly based around politics. Like East Germany stepped up to dismantle its greatest Cold War symbol, will Britain be the first EU country to bring down its “Carbon Wall”? Perhaps. It’s certainly clearer now in 2010, than it was back in 2006- that the whole concept of global warming is fatally flawed. Henceforth, any policies or budgets attached to it need to be discarded. There is no other sane alternative in such a policy debate.
History will demonstrate that no matter how popular an ideology might be at any one time, it cannot survive very long if it is divorced from the reality outside of bureaucratic rooms. In this case, the focus is on real science and cost vs benefit economics. If the UK falls out of love with AGW, expect more climate change bureaucracies around the globe to find themselves thin ice too.
Plagued by a free fall in carbon emissions prices and the perennial failure of Washington to pass any binding Cap and Trade Bill, it seems that the Chicago Climate Exchange is on its last leg, announcing that it will be scaling back its operations.
Chicago Climate Exchange or CCX, is North America’s sole voluntary, legally binding greenhouse gas trading and carbon “offset” projects in North America and Brazil. Rueters reported on Aug 11th that Intercontinental Exchange Inc, the operating body who purchased the struggling CCX in May this year, will be scaling back major operations this month, a move that includes massive layoffs. This is likely due to the complete market free-fall of their only product… carbon emissions.
Anthony Watts from the climate watchdog website Watts Up With That posts a graph from the CCX which shows carbon prices dropping like a stone, bottoming out this week at the embarrassingly low figure of 10 centsper tonne. Compare this to trading prices during its brief hay day in May and June 2008 where market highs reached $5.85 and $7.40 respectively, and you can say that most investors will be evaluating carbon as one of today’s more worthless commodities.
What a difference a year makes. It’s been nine months since the world watched the bottom drop out of a much-hyped UN ClimateSummitin Copenhagenback in Dec 2009, with its neo-colonial and UN Global Government taxation agenda exposed within the first days of the summit. One of the keystones of the Climate Change alarmist movement was its audacious attempt to create a functioning market by monetizing the atmospheric trace gas known as CO2. Since last year, a number of scandals like Climategate have penetrated mainstream conversation, putting a rather awkward limp in the once nimble Man-Made Global Warming movement. Hence, apocalyptic frenzies and fears have dissipated and carbon prices around the world have continued to be pummelled by the market.
Monetizing CO2: the carbon neutral dream that no country could ever afford.
A Financial ‘Boondoggle’
Unlike most real markets, the carbon market was created by banks and governments so that new investment opportunities could seamlessly dovetail with specific government policies. It’s a fantasy casino based on a doctrine of pure science fiction. Certainly, gaming the system has always been at the top on the agenda of the new green eco-trader. Most people, investors included, might innocently ask the fundamental question, “what’s the point of having a CO2 commodities market?” The answer to that question should be obvious by now, and you can certainly look to the initial stakeholders in the various international climate trading bodies for a ‘Who’s Who’ list of individuals that have actively been pushing the global warming concept from its inception.
As American’s own CCX nears total collapse, climate alarmists and their vested partners are pinning their hopes on Europe and Climate Exchange Plc. With most European countries happily singing from the same EU song sheet, institutional investment in the carbon market has seen a slightly more sustained existence. Europe’s socialized historical habit of subsidizing anything and everything means that it has been a better safe haven for something as radical as a carbon market. Many financial analysts would say that carbon requires a relatively steady price of around €40 a tonne in order to spur industrial investment in cleaner technologies, but unfortunately, Copenhagen failed and the announcements of emissions cuts are not coming as expected. Perhaps the reality gap is beginning to set in between governments’ political capital in climate change and the peoples’ ability to believe in global warming. Either way, the market will not be able to deliver such lofty figures, which is why real investors are getting out of the carbon market in 2010.
The front end of this game of ‘supply and demand’ is heavily reliant on governments making lofty announcements about future emissions targets. The logic here is that cutting emissions increases demand for carbon allowances. In the absence of such a restriction of the market, it was expected that the price would fall, and naturally that’s exactly what happened. In 2008, it cost European traders €31 to pump out a tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere, but today it will set you back about half that at €15. You will be hard pressed to find any financial wizard/pundit giving a sermon on a bullish carbon market in the near future- it’s just not happening anymore.
On the back end of the game, things are a bit shadier to say the least- some might call it a recipe for corruption. The industrial monopoly power giants and other green businesses who are ‘well connected’ are of course, being allocated free EU Carbon Allowances until 2012, but from 2013 some sectors will have to pay for 20% of their allowances (those with weaker political influence in Brussels), rising each year to 60% in 2020. Many government/power company ‘green initiatives’ will automatically result in high energy price to consumers, which naturally means guaranteed profit increases for those same corporations (see Enron).
Off-set scam
Carbon trading is underpinned by an equally dodgy product called ‘carbon off-sets”, most of which are taken on face value by the buyer. Not based on an actual ton of carbon emitted, rather governing agencies are issuing certificates for a fictional commodity of emissions not emitted. A rather wild concept. Worse than this however, it is near impossible to verify which of these thousands of so-called off-set projects in the developing world are actually legitimate. In the coming years, we will no doubt see or read a number exposes detailing the depths of this fantastic green scam.
Get in early and then get out
The formula: create an investment vehicle, hype the new commodity, buy low, watch share prices rise, sell high. The result is money, lots of it. In some cases it’s been about driving up the share prices of companies Gore’s group has already invested in. The fact that the original shareholders of the CCX have already bailed out with their sale to Intercontinental Exchange Inc. for a modest $600 million earlier this year only reinforces the reality that its creators have already lost faith in their elaborate invention. Likewise, the self-styled leaders of the climate change crusade Maurice Strong and Al Gorehave alreadycashed in carbon fortunes already, whilst other active politicians like US President Barrack Obama, and United Nations IPCC ChiefRajendra K. Pachauri(arguably the world’s wealthiest retired railway engineer)are engaged in similar play with their own financial interests in the Carbon Markets.
Like all government rigged quasi-commercial schemes, the only real beneficiaries are the initial shareholders- a special inner circle who are naturally ahead of the curve knowing about legislation and policy before it comes into existence. They are sometimes called the great and the good, the in-crowd, or the smartest men in the room (again, see Enron). Of these, almost all have jumped ship out of the market while their preferred shares- or in the case of the larger energy and manufacturing monopolies, their gratis “carbon allowances” given to them free by their governments- are still worth something. If you’re on the inside, it’s simple: get in early, make money and then get out.

Climate change based on science fiction
Pointing out the obvious is always a painful thing in the world of human affairs. The real reason for the complete and total failure of the concept behind trading an atmospheric gas like CO2 is something few within the green block will dare to even mention now, and it’s the same reason why the whole movement will go down in history as one of the most flamboyant efforts in the history of economics. It’s not just hubris. The whole idea behind making CO2 a commodity was to make it expensive and thus reduce the amount produced, which would (they hoped) reduce the effect of anthropogenic(man-made) global warming, or ‘climate change’ as it’s now commonly referred to. There was only one massive problem with this equation- there has been no global warming since 1998. So despite the hundreds of millions, perhaps billions spent on research and computer models addressing this possibility, no scientist or body has been able to show that man’s CO2 contribution has had any effect on the global temperature. Another massive blind spot for climatists is their almost religious denial that the sun might have any effect on the earth’s climate (studies show that it does, of course)- a major sore spot in any debate on global warming.
Placed in its proper historical context, we can see that the man-made global warming movement was a classic merger of radical Collectivistideas and huge financial opportunities. Men like Maurice Strong looked for their moral positions to be anchored by a small group of hand-picked ‘scientific authorities’, a latter day technocracy if you will. On the opportunist side we also see those same scientists who have made their careers, many millions of dollars over the last decade alone, on grants to prove that global warming was somehow happening. Other financial opportunists will include Al Gore, scores of companies like Carbon Fund and a multitude of charities soliciting millions in donations to save the planet, all of whom were hoping to cash in on this non-event until its financial opportunities eventually die out.
To date, the timeline of the planned green economy has moved at an impressive pace. If you step back and marvel at the timing and combination of the climate change movement and carbon trading business it’s enough to make you dizzy. Advanced positioning promised fortunes for those with inside knowledge before the global warming PR cycle went orbital in 2006. Never has the world seen a more stunning collusion between government(include the UN here) and big business, a tango that makes fascist enterprises like Mussolini’s Italy or Franco’s Spain look like mere student internships.
Still hoping for some silver lining in this otherwise cloud of failure, most diehard green activists are laying the blame on governments for giving away too many free carbon coupons in recent years. Certainly there is a valid economic point there, but greens were all too eager to get into bed with Wall Street and the Fabian Socialists in order to realize their dream of a new utopia. The current color-blind global financial system based on derivatives, futures and sub-prime gambling products will eventually take down the carbon market altogether, as speculators prey on untapped markets, selling more worthless paper to an ever decreasing naive minority. In the wake of the dot com boom and the housing boom, Wall Street certainly tried to make environmentalism sexy and trendy for investors, but we can see now that the results speak for themselves- CO2, a penny stock for kids. “Roll up, roll up. Anyone want a tonne of CO2 for 10 cents?”
In the end it’s just another age-old tale of big business, grovelling academics, power politics… and easy money(see also: slush fund). So it doesn’t require an expert to tell you that the carbon market was doomed to fail from the beginning. Let’s just hope it doesn’t require another Wall Street-style bailout.

Second segment of 21st Century Wire correspondent Patrick Henningsen‘s first appearanceon the Alex Jones Show, breaking down climate fundamentalism, population alarmism and the current collapse of the UN’s agenda in Copenhagen.
Not only does the dead and buried Osama hate us for our freedoms, he also hates us because we have not prevented climate change. “Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, blamed the United States and developed countries for not halting climate change and said that the global economy should immediately abandon its reliance on the American dollar, according to an audiotape released Friday by the broadcaster Al Jazeera,” reports The New York Times.
Osama sounds a lot like Al Gore. “Talk about climate change is not an ideological luxury but a reality. All of the industrialized countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.”
As usual, the authenticity of the tape could not be immediately confirmed, and Al Jazeera did not say how it had obtained the message.
The audio is more evidence the CIA and the Pentagon, with the assistance of the corporate media, are trying to resurrect the Osama and al-Qaeda myth as the government increases its presence in Afghanistan, steps up attacks in Pakistan, and launches a new front in the bogus GWOT in Yemen.
The Osama as tree hugger audio is the second from the dead terror leader and CIA asset in a week. On Sunday, the dead Osama claimed responsibility for the ludicrous Christmas day underwear non-bombing that was obviously a black op. “Mr. bin Laden, who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border and has issued several other audiotaped anti-West invectives, had not put one out in four months before the one about the Detroit attempted bombing,” reported the New York Times.
Osama increasingly sounds like a foundation progressive. In the latest audio he praises Noam Chomsky, gripes about the United States not signing the Kyoto Protocol, complains about globalization and monetary policy, and calls for a worldwide boycott of American goods and the dollar.
“Noam Chomsky was correct when he compared the U.S. policies to those of the Mafia,” Al Jazeera quoted the dead terrorist as saying. “They are the true terrorists and therefore we should refrain from dealing in the U.S. dollar and should try to get rid of this currency as early as possible.”
Now establishment editorialists and bloggers have a convenient touchstone for their tirades against “conspiracy theorists” who criticize the Federal Reserve, fiat currency and the banksters. Comparisons between Osama and Ron Paul will likely be forthcoming in the days ahead.
As Haiti realizes its damage and death toll from this week’s catastrophic earthquake, Hollywood’s well-intentioned globalist cheerleaders are lining up to seize on the political opportunity, this time laying blame for the natural disaster on a likely culprit… global warming and climate change.
During his recent interview onGritTV,Hollywood actor and Lethal Weapon star Danny Glover said,“When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens(to Haiti), you know what I’m say’in’?”
So according to Glover, the punishment unleashed on the people of Haiti is retribution for our collective sins of fomenting global warming and our failing to pass a binding treaty at Copenhagen. Glover’s comments of course reaffirm the newly emerging religious hierarchy we are seeing through the popular modern mythology of climate change, one where Nature’s Fury supersedes what was previously classed as God’s Fury. Glover’s comments to the masses are very clear in this respect.
In this context, the new Earth deity, or Gaia, has exerted its power over the old Judeo-Christian deity known as God. Originally proposed by James Lovelock as the earth feedback hypothesis, it was named the “Gaia Hypothesis” after Gaia, the Greek supreme goddess of Earth. The high profile actor’s charge of Earth’s apparent retribution appears to (this time anyway) have trumped even that of popular right-wing Christian TV evangelist Pat Robertson, who himself claimed that the disaster in Haiti was ‘God’s fury on Haitian people to choosing Voodoo over Jesus’. This followed his equally outlandish commentary about Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005, when he said it was ‘heavenly punishment’ for legal abortion in the US. Laughable as it might be, millions worldwide tune into Pat Robertson for spiritual guidance. And misguided as they might also be, celebrity A-listers like Glover are considered an ‘official source’ by fans when it comes to political matters, giving assumed credibility to what ever cause that a said celebrity takes on- even if it’s not rooted in reality. And so the mythology continues. Such are the times we live in.
Indeed, Haiti got hit hard, as any third world ‘banana republic’ would. But few can argue that if this quake had struck in Florida, USA, the losses would’ve been but a small percentage of those suffered on the impoverished island nation. When we see these natural- or man-made disasters being repeatedly chronicled all over our Western media coverage- in Columbia, Thailand, Armenia, Turkey, Rwanda or Palestine, we each turn to each other and acknowledge how lucky we are lucky to be living in the “developed” world where sophisticated safety measures and disaster response is something we take for granted. However, Globalist supporters of treaties like those drafted this past winter in Copenhagen will have you believe that it is NOT a moral imperative to let these poorer countries develop up to a level that we have enjoyed in the West. Their excuse for this is their belief that the ‘developing world’ cannot develop because they will be contributing to the scourge of global warming and climate change- two non-existent threats, both failed scientific theories now thoroughly discredited in the wake of Climate Gate and repeated record cold temperatures across the globe this winter.
Controlled Left Media
It is interesting to note that the so-called independent outlet GritTV which carried the Danny Glover piece, has solid ties to the ‘controlled left’ gatekeeper media complex, falling under the umbrella of Free Speech TV whose key players include the likes of Christian Parenti, a SorosSenior Justice Fellow and a Ford Foundation Fellow. It’s well documented that both George Soros and the Ford Foundation have their fingers in most globalist, world banking cartel and world government agendas, soit’s not surprising that Grit TV’s parent organization Free Speech TV had joined forces with Greenpeace- itself an adroit tool of the globalist climate collective, to help ram through the global government treaty designed to cripple already economically ravaged third world nations, thus maintaining the neo-colonial model of the New World Order(formerly known as the Old World Order).
Haiti: Still Under the Thumb of the West
Born through slaves’ revolts against their French masters, Haiti was the first republic founded from African ancestry, but has spent most of its last few decades fending off US and corporate efforts to control its fragile destiny, with the United States having already invading Haititwice. Recent history saw President Bill Clinton sending some 20,000 soldiers to Haiti in 1994 to restore then favoured Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the country’s first freely elected leader in 200 years. Popular at home, the outspoken Aristide was a regular political thorn in the side of Washington, single-handedly able to strip the White House of its assumed moral high ground on issues like forced repatriation of Haitian refugees at sea. He was President again from 2001 to 2004 before being ousted in a February 2004 military coup. The progressive leader alleged that he was kidnapped by the United States and French military operatives and forced into exile in South Africa. Since Aristide’smost recent ousting,things have fallen apart in Haiti as it has felt the full force of U.S. foreign policy-induced chaos there. Both his removals from office were preceded by US calls to cut off foreign aid to Haiti, a form of economic sanction routinely employed by the US to sow domestic discontent within client states that fall under its sphere of influence, eventually paving the way to a popular uprising, followed by an ousting of a democratically elected leader and the installation of a favoured US political puppet.
Now with its third US military mobilisation in Haiti well under way- this time for humanitarian purposes, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, said that the United States will be sending extra troops and marines, a hospital ship, and more helicopters to Haiti in the coming days. US Defence Secretary Robert Gates tells a news conference in Washington that this new “military”(?) effort in Haiti is the “highest priority for US military assets in this hemisphere”. Of that we can be sure. Just how long the US military will stay in Haiti this time? That’s anyone’s guess.
The only sound, long term solution for countries like Haiti, is that they be allowed to develop their own resources, trade and modernize without military interference from Washington or economic meddling from the World Bank, IMF, the usual multi-national corporations as well as crippling environmental UN treaties like Copenhagen. In the end this is the only forward-looking policy which will save lives in the future by raising this ‘banana republic’ above the 200 year old poverty line.

In a move that will surely anger a generation of children worldwide, leading global warming campaigner Al Gore has called for Santa to “rein in” his annual holiday travel itinerary in order to save the planet from climate change.
Al Gore’s controversial Christmas Eve address from his mansion in Tennessee called on Santa Claus to set an example by making dramatic cuts to his yule tide carbon footprint- or face the possibility of losing his traditional base of operations at the North Pole.
Gore explains, “We need to freeze it (Santa’s emissions) now. His irresponsible travel itinerary and out-dated manufacturing base carries a giant carbon footprint that has been allowed to grow unchecked for decades. If he keeps it up, there won’t be a North Pole.”
The Nobel Prize winner claims that Santa’s annual Christmas tradition is becoming increasingly dangerous to the planet.
“The question remains- how can we incentivize our friends at the North Pole to dramatically reduce an industry? The only sensible answer here is to scale back Christmas by adopting responsible green alternatives during the holiday season. That’s why we’re calling on Santa ‘rein in’ his operation and stick to emissions reduction targets recommended by the IPCC for 2012″, said Gore on Thursday.
Green campaign groups have also seized upon the holiday season, branding Santa as a “climate criminal” and calling on families around the world to denounce his environmentally unsustainable holiday operation. Frustrated at the abject failure of last week’s UN Summit in Copenhagen, Bjorn Shillman from Sweden’s Climate Revolutionaries for Social Justice (CRSJ) explains, “It’s simply not fair. The developing world countries hardly celebrate Christmas, yet they are facing terrible climate change brought on by the likes of Santa and co. He should be held accountable.”
Al Gore inflames climate debate with attack on the alleged yuletide footprint left by Santa and his elfs.
Malthusian proponents have also begun to weigh in on the debate, with pundits citing China as an example for other Christian societies to follow. Gore agrees, “I think China has got it right. Their one child policy has been a role model in the fight against climate change, certainly one for other nations to follow, very simple and achievable because less children equals less carbon dioxide.” Gore adds here, “And they aren’t saddled with the cultural burden of celebrating Christmas… it’s a great one-two punch for the planet. Santa needs to wake up and start paying more attention to China- they are leading the way in the fight against global warming.”
But the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s comments have sent shock waves high up into the Northern Hemisphere.
Santa Claus did not release a formal rebuttal to Gore, but sources inside his operation have reported the Jolly one believes Gore’s recent attack on the North Pole is “a load of complete balderdash motivated by childhood issues”, as well as referring to Gore as “a shameless opportunist and a closet eugenicist”, and accused the former Vice President of “lingering frustration from bottling the 2000 election.”
This is not the first time Santa has been embroiled in a snow storm of controversy. Media and political experts now believe that a media salvo fired from the North Pole last December has prompted what looked by some to be an unprovoked attack on Santa by Gore this holiday season. In 2008, Gore’s media arm Current TV asked Santa if he would ship 10,000 free DVD’s of “An Inconvenient Truth” to kids around the world. Santa flatly refused the offer, stating at the time, “That film is rubbish and not even fit for stocking stuffers. Global Warming is about as real as the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.”
Diedrich Knickerbocker, Santa’s Communications Director for North Pole Amusement Systems LLP, Santa’s official holding company, has issued a formal statement however, rebutting a number of Gore’s claims. He explains, “This is not about Santa. It’s really an unwarranted attack on millions of innocent children worldwide. He’s not only talking about scaling back Santa’s travel at Christmas, by endorsing the UN’s Agenda 21, Gore is really talking about scaling back children in general. It’s a rather shocking state of affairs.”

According to Knickerbocker, Santa had the foresight to leverage his business along the lines of various policies championed by Al Gore himself. Knickerbocker points out, “It’s quite ironic for us. Because of WTO and GAT agreements that Gore campaigned for in the early 1990′s, Santa made concerted moves to outsource a large sector of our toy manufacturing to the Chinese mainland. China has actually helped us to expand our operation and increase our cost vs benefit performance.” Knickerbocker also added, “Our partnership with China was already a done deal the minute Santa stepped on to the tarmac in Beijing. The smile on Deng Xiaoping’s face when he saw Santa wearing all-red was truly an auspicious moment for us.”
North Pole is Carbon Neutral
“Because of the unique nature of Christmas, we have to maintain an altruistic business model, hence, Santa has always remained ahead of the curve with regards to global economic trends. It’s true that we can now employ 10 Chinese workers for the same cost of one Elfen worker, but through 21st century retraining and generous finance from the Chinese, we have now migrated many younger Elfs into new internet jobs and offered older Elfs early retirement incentives”, says Knickerbocker.
“The bottom line is that we now have a ‘carbon neutral’ operation up here in the North Pole. Off-shoring Santa’s manufacturing to China has dramatically reduced our local carbon footprint and consequently, we have been able to sell these new carbon credits to the European Carbon Market- this helps to fund our day-to-day operation.”
Critics of European carbon trading schemes point out, however, that Santa’s current reliance and exposure to carbon offset markets could spell red ink for the jolly gent if Cap and Trade is not adopted globally. In typically shrewd fashion, Santa also moved to increase his own personal, as well as corporate holdings into precious metals when gold was a steal below $300 per oz back in 2000. Consequently, North Pole Amusements LLP holdings has seen a bumper year in 2009 with gold spiking to over £1,150 per oz, thus increasing their operating capital reserves forward past the year 2015 according to a Bloomberg report.
Communications head Knickerbocker comments, “We’re constantly harvesting business intelligence and Santa has been making sound investments in commodities like gold for a few hundred years now. So if Cap and Trade happens to fall flat on its face one day, we will simply adapt and re-capitalize into new revenue streams- it’s what we do.” He continues, “Unlike most organizations, we are not really motivated by profits because we have no shareholders. We are only accountable to billions of children worldwide who are expecting us to deliver the goods when it matters- and that’s at Christmas time. Politicians and psuedo-science hacks like Al Gore can never really get their heads around that.”
Workers Speak Out
Gore’s comments have apparently aggravated the ranks of little people north of the Arctic Circle. Markus Rautio, a senior Elf spokesperson lashed out at the recent attack. Speaking from their regional union offices in Lapland, Finland, Rautio said, “While Gore travels 365 days a year in his private jets and chauffeur driven limos, Santa’s squad of reindeers can do Gore’s annual miles in one day without using an ounce of fossil fuels. The hypocrisy of Al Gore’s self-proclaimed environmental credentials leave a lot to be desired.”
Rautio scathed, “This is the same guy who says that polar bears and penguins can’t swim. He claims polar bears are disappearing but their numbers have exploded from 10,000 to 45,000 in the last few decades- and that’s a genuine health and safety issue we have to face on a daily basis, unlike a man who lives in a 30 bedroom mansion in Tennessee.” Rautio added, “It appears that both Gore and that Pachauri bloke have become a bit cocky since their Nobel Prize ceremony, and it’s only expected that overblown celebrities like these will take a cheap shot at little folks like us.”
“We are a hard working community and there’s no time for middle class greenpeace-guilt up here. We’re still freezing our butts off at 20 below zero and he wants us to live like Eskimos in caves with no electricity? Personally I don’t see the climate changing because of CO2- despite the huge amount hot air that Gore and his fellow shills are blowing in the media. Sure, he claims to have invented to internet, but time will bestow upon him his last and most infamous credential of all, he will go down in history- as the man who invented global warming.”

It’s a sight we have all become familiar with in the media over the years. Greenpeace activists sneaking on board commercial ships and buildings, draping homemade banners adorned with radical environmental slogans over ship’s bow. This week in Copenhagen saw the first-ever opening salvo by climate skeptics returning direct fire back to the very green campaign groups who uphold the globalists’ climate change mantra. An entirely new breed of activist has been born- the “climate skeptivist”.
On Wednesday, Global warming skeptics from CFACT pulled off an international climate caper by using GPS triangulation from Greenpeace’s own on-board camera photos to locate and sail up long-side its famous vessel, Rainbow Warrior. Then in Greenpeace-like fashion, the ‘climate realists’ dropped a banner reading “Propaganda Warrior” in order to highlights how the radical green group’s policies and agenda are based on a series of scientific myths, lies and exaggerations about global warming and climate change.
Earlier that day, CFACT’s “skeptivists” also boarded Greenpeace’s other seafaring vessel, the Arctic Sunrise, gainingpassage on deckby distracting Greenpeace crew with boxes of doughnuts whilst they unfurled yet another banner hand-painted with the slogan “Ship of Lies” off of the ship’s starboard side.

Using its well-known radical approach to activism, campaigning group Greenpeace has become one of the key components behind the proliferation of man-made global warming theory, as well as its subsequent rebranding into what is now commonly known as “climate change”. Greenpeace leader Gerd Leipold was recently forced to confess during an interview with the BBC that his organization issued misleading and exaggerated information claiming that Arctic ice would disappear completely by 2030. Greenpeace’s own members commonly cite the group’s reports on climate change as ‘trusted’ science, when in reality their claims are politically motivated, promoting selective science. The organisation’s co-founder, Patrick Moore, who has long since been chased out by radical left elements in the group, foresaw this as a genuine flaw in Greenpeace’s hierarchy. Moore stated in 2008 that “I observed that none of my fellow directors had any formal science education. They were either political activists or environmental entrepreneurs.Ultimately, a trend toward abandoning scientific objectivity in favor of political agendas forced me to leave Greenpeace in 1986.”
After nearly a decade of campaigning for hollow concepts like ‘climate action’ and ‘climate justice’ with virtually no direct public opposition, Greenpeace members will certainly be shocked and horrified to see a genuine physical challenge to their assumed moral hegemony over all things environmental.

After nearly a week of fundamentally meaningless street protests by climate action groups and their hundreds of arrests, how refreshing to see climate realists take action- certainly they are an environmental movement with a brain. It might seem like a modest skirmish on the high seas, but with any luck, The Battle of Copenhagen will be remembered as a rallying cry for lovers of real science and common sense everywhere.
While climate protestors dressed as clowns lined the outer perimeter of the UN Climate Summit in at Copenhagen’s Bella Centre, another three-ringed media circus was taking place inside.
Large snow falls across Europe have made for an appropriate backdrop to the largest-ever international meeting to combat global warming. Earlier in the week saw the arrival of a number of high-flying celebrities and politicians. President Obama, Tony Blair and Al Gore all arrived amongst great media interest, each hoped to reignite what has been described by many as a conference teetering on the edge of total failure. In the latest example of delegates and press becoming even further detatched from reality, hundreds scurried through the Centre’s hallways in the hopes to get a glimpse of the failing summit’s own ’Last Action Hero’, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former actor’s appearance signals the final PR push by proponents of the Globalist elite to leave Copenhagen with some form of an international agreement to implement the monetisation of the earth’s carbon- to be enforced by a new structure of global government.
The headline in today’s UK Independent Newspaper read At Last, a ray of light amid the gloom – Arnie’s in town. So overcome with celebrity intoxication of Gov Schwarzenegger’s appearance, fawning politicians and press could hardly bottle their glee. Gordon Campbell, the premier of British Columbia gushed, “He’s an action hero in the movies and a climate action hero for the globe”. The article continues to describe how the Governor admitted his previous trips to Copenhagen had been for “movie promotions and bodybuilding and weightlifting seminars”, rather than a determination to secure the future of the planet. Schwarzenegger added that “Movements begin with people, not governments,” and urged the UN to organise another summit to “discuss localised ways of fighting climate change.”

This movement Schwarzenegger is speaking of is of course, an international call to arms to fight ‘climate change’. While clearly not designed and wholly executed by grass roots green activists and anarchist climate action groups, one might ask exactly who and what is the driving force behind this movement. Here’s a clue… we’ve all heard of(to great pains) Wall Steet’s notorious credit default swaps and subprime mortgages, but what about “carbon default swaps” and “subprime carbon offsets”? Global banks, multinational energy companies and signatories of the Copenhagen treaty seek to create a global “Cap and Trade” scheme that would drive what Commodity Futures Trading commissioner Bart Chilton sees as a $2 trillion market, “the biggest of any [commodities] derivatives product in the next five years.” Clearly a recipe for fraud and fiat money laundering on a scale which mankind has never witnessed before.
Arnold is no stranger to Cap and Trade. It was revealed in 2003 by award-winning investigative reporter Greg Palast how gubernatorial candidate Schwarzenegger was part of a larger scheme to help Enron and other power companies avoid paying back billions in illicit profits by replacing then California Gov. Gray Davis. In a 2002 lawsuit filed by former California Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, ENRON was cited for carrying off their profits by fraudulent reporting of sales transactions, megawatt “laundering,” and creating “fake power delivery scheduling”. In total some $9 billion were generated in profits, as Enron caused the power shortages in California and singlehandedly rinsed consumers for millions of dollars- with the federal government left to stand back watching from a safe distance. To this date, Gov. Schwarzenegger has never denied his May 17, 2001 meeting with Enron’s Kenneth Lay and disgraced junk-bond peddler Mike Milken at the Peninsula Hotel in Los Angeles, a meeting which was allegedly part of a plan to recall Gov. Davis and replace him with someone who would assist in keeping the legal heat off Lay and his cronies.
Just as today’s carbon traders and carbon off-set firms have been lapping up media kudos and billions of investment capital in anticipation of a globally binding agreement to ‘fight climate change’, ENRON’s chief Ken Lay and colleagues became the toast of Wall Street as Enron introduced innovations in creative book-keeping, claiming profits from programs not yet started and manipulating energy markets through brokering, futures contracts and other exotic financial instruments.
The UN’s COP15 folly will come to a close in a few days and with any luck, the world will be spared any binding draconian treaty which is underpinned by such dodgy alarmist science.
