ISIS RETREATING: Russia Destroys 33 Key Targets Forcing Jihadists to Flee

More good news.

The Russian air campaign in Syria has struck 33 more key targets over the past 24 hours causing ISIS fighters to flee.

A Sukhoi Su-34 managed to destroy a 9K33 Osa, surface-to-air missile launcher in Eastern Douma near Damascus. The jet dropped a smart bomb onto a concrete shelter destroying both the structure and launcher.

The launcher, known as a Gecko’ by NATO, holds six missiles and is designed to give short range tactical cover to ground forces. With widespread reports of ISIS quickly crumbling away, the loss of this defence system will only hasten their annihilation.

Russian General Igor Konashenkov said, “the militants are retreating, trying to establish new positioning areas and changing their supply system,” which means the strikes are having a real, tangible effect.

In order to stay ahead of the terrorists, Russia is also now increasing reconnaissance flights.

He said the strike was one of 33 combat missions in the past 24 hours, which were also carried out in Idlib, Hama, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor. This would not be the first report of ISIS being sent on the run, and Russian cruise missiles caused an exodus among the ranks of the terrorists.

In response, the US has just airdropped 50 tons of small arms ammunition and grenades to ‘rebels’ it has supposedly vetted, but that is highly unlikely to be effective against a Russian fighter jet.

Furthermore, US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter said Russia will soon pay for their decision to intervene in Syria.
