Major ‘Dirty Bomb’ Drill Set for This Weekend in Northern California

21st Century Wire says…

Are they expecting something we don’t know about?

HS Today reports:

“About 200 California National Guard, civilian law enforcement and firefighting personnel will be involved in a coordinated interagency response at the Richmond Fire Training Center to the discovery of a “dirty bomb.”

“The improvised radiological bomb will be located in Richmond, and the responding airmen, local law enforcement and firefighting personnel will descend upon the city in a drill to find and defuse the bomb as part of an emergency response exercise.”

Also, notice the new term, ‘citizen soldier‘ being coined here under what appears to be a DHS umbrella:

“As citizen-soldiers, our guardsmen offer a broad diversity of skills, both military and civilian,” said Col. Peter Cross, commander of the 49th Military Police Brigade. “We train year-round with partner agencies like the El Cerrito Police Department to ensure we’re ready to respond to the communities in which we live and serve.”

RICHMOND, CA – This Saturday, April 11, over a hundred of law enforcement personnel, airmen, firefighters and even soldiers will be participating in a massive emergency response exercise based on a ‘dirty bomb‘ type scenario.

So naturally Intellihub is encouraging our readers and/or the general public to participate in the action, in a sense, by possibly capturing the drill on video for a future, real-time, update right here on Intellihub.

The El Cerrito Police Department is funding the endeavor which will take place at:

Richmond-El Camino Fire Departments
3506 Cutting Blvd.
FEMA Region IX

Lt. Steve Bonini of the El Cerrito Police Department was quoted by the Richmond Standard saying, “This is a great opportunity for us all to get together and explore the resources each agency offers”.

49th Military Police Brigade is set to participate.

This all comes ahead of Jade Helm.
