Alleged ISIS Video Claims ‘Shoot Down’ of Russian Airliner in Sinai – But False Flag is More Likely

21st Century Wire says…

Early this morning, news broke of an airline crash of Russian Kolavia Flight 7K9268, downed in high desert of the northern Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.

Early reports from authorities suggested that the plane may have suffered technical failures which caused its crash, but these claims are yet to confirmed. But that’s not all…

Early on, mixed reports were circulating in the media, with some indicating that the plane made an in-air distress call, and then later, others were saying that there were no such preliminary indications of trouble, before the plane rapidly dropped altitude before disappearing from radar.

Based on all available evidence this far, all indications point to the plane breaking-up in the air – which points to a few remaining possible conclusions which are:

1.
The plane was shot down.

2. There was a bomb on board.

Joining in the speculation scrum now is a new online claim originating on an ISIS Twitter account – which shows a video which terrorists say depicts the Russian flight being shot down early this morning.

Zero Hedge reports:

“A militant group affiliated to Islamic State in Egypt claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt’s Sinai peninsula on Saturday, the group said in a statement circulated by supporters on Twitter. Below is the full statement from a group alleging to speak on behalf of Islamic State, posted on their affiliate site, translated by the Guardian’s Jahd Khalil. It offers no evidence that the group brought down the plane, apart from their word.

“Soldiers of the Caliphate were able to bring down a Russian plane above Sinai Province with at least 220 Russian crusaders aboard. They were all killed, praise be to God. O Russians, you and your allies take note that you are not safe in Muslims lands or their skies.”

“The killing of dozens daily in Syria with bombs from your planes will bring woe to you. Just as you are killing others, you too will be killed, God willing.”

Here is the alleged ‘ISIS’ video:

The aircraft depicted in this video does not appear to be flying at 30,000, but rather, much lower in fact, so this is mostly likely a bogus claim by whoever posted it.

In addition, because this flight was flying at 31,000 feet, then this virtual ‘ISIS’ claim made by terrorist cut-out actors, perhaps by Egyptian ‘affiliate’ group, Wilayat Sinai, could only be true if the following happened:

1. Somehow the ‘Islamic State’ had possession of advance mobile surface-to-air (SAM) missile systems in the Sinai Peninsula, which is very unlikely, if not impossible.

2. The plane was actually shot down by nearby Israel who have air defenses on standby near the plane’s flight path, and then blame it on ISIS.

3. The plane was actually shot down by Egypt (who happen to be currently conducting ‘security operations’ in this same area), in order to blame it on ISIS.

4. Plane was brought down by the US, before shifting the blame on “ISIS.”

More likely than a shoot-down scenario, however, would be a bomb was placed on the plane, which then exploded approximately 23 minutes into the flight.

As it turns out, local affiliate, “IS Sinai” has called the video a fake:

Zero Hedge adds here:

“Whether or not the video is real or staged like many of ISIS’ previous “made in Hollywood” productions, is currently unknown. Of course, is the same ISIS which a recently leaked CIA report revealed as being created by the CIA as a “tool” to overthrow Syria’s Assad. In other words, a proxy organization of US “shadow government destabilizing operations”, trained in U.S. ally Turkey, and openly funded by both U.S. allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, just took down a Russian plane. The question now is did ISIS use a US-made surface-to-air missile to start what may be a very unpleasant war.

While we’re speculating, Hedge’s Tyler Durden poses one final interesting question:

“Does Russia get a carte blanche to begin attacks on ISIS in Egypt now, the same Egypt which recently “purchased” the two Mistral ships made by France, which were meant to be bought by Russia in a deal that was scrapped in the last minute due to NATO intervention?”

A False Flag?

It’s also important to note that this doomed flight originated at the beach resort destination of Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, which happens to be a well-known Israeli Mossad ‘intelligence playground’ and if there was Israeli covert involvement in this incident, it would not be the first time that a deadly Israeli false flag attack was used in order to engineer, deflect attention (away from Israeli plans to partition or relocate Palestinians from East Jerusalem), or stir the international pot with the aim of starting a wider war between the US and another party (see USS Liberty).

Remote Control Hijacking?

Another real possibility is that this Airbus plane was taken control of in mid-flight. Most new Boeing and Airbus airliners are equipped with a technology referred to as ‘Uninteruptable Autopilot’, whereby an external party can take control of the flight functions. When this system is engaged, external cockpit communications are halted while the plane is flown ‘by wire’ to a destination (or crashed?). 21WIRE has also looked into the unprecedented disappearance of MH370, the subsequent downing of MH17, and the fateful Germanwings Flight which crashed last spring, where details have come to light regarding the history of the remote autopilot function installed within Boeing commercial airliners (a subject which also opens the door to the events of 9/11).

Note today’s Russian Kolavia Flight 7K9268 is an Airbus A321 model – which is the same as the previously downed Germanwings flight. Both have gone down in similar fashion.

For information about the technical features of Boeing and Airbus standard remote control hijacking systems, listen to our SUNDAY WIRE interview with veteran airline pilot Field McConnell.

So, until the final results are hashed out by investigators on the ground and after reviewing the ‘Black Box’ flight data recorders – let the speculation and theories begin…
