Foreign Policy Nightmare: President Lindsey Graham Would Go To War in Iraq AND Syria

21st Century Wire says…

This is exactly the type of rhetoric that should steer voters away from a candidate.

Watch a video of this report here:

If you want to avoid war, Lindsey Graham has some news for you – do not bother voting for him.

In an interview with Fox News, the would-be Republican Presidential Candidate said this:

“I’m trying to tell the American people, the Republican primary voter: The only way I know to defend this country is to send some of us back to Iraq and eventually to Syria to dig these guys out of the ground, destroy the caliphate, kill as any of them as you can, hold territory and help people over there help themselves.”

In response to concerns that American voters were tired of war, Graham said this:

Then don’t vote for me!

Last month, Graham had this to say regarding potential ISIS recruits:

“If I’m president of the United States and you’re thinking about joining al-Qaeda or ISIL, I’m not gonna call a judge. I’m gonna call a drone and we will kill you.

Extrajudicial executions – who wouldn’t want that? Oh, wait…

With this kind of rhetoric, Graham comes across as a relic from what should be a by-gone-era; namely the time of Bush’s war on terror.

However, this should at least make Lindsey Graham a prime target for Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security (APPS), a group of leaders from the military industrial complex seeking to support presidential candidates with such an overtly ‘strong’ foreign policy platform.

Would you vote for Graham’s continuation and extension of open war?

RT

The 2016 presidential election is still over a year away, but potential Republican Party nominee Sen. Lindsey Graham(R-South Carolina) wants GOP voters to know what’s in store if he wins the White House: more war.

Graham, one of the more recent and mainstream members of the Republican Part to toss their hat in next year’s race, told Fox News during an interview this week that he has a much different idea for tackling the so-called Islamic State than President Barack Obama.

While the Obama administration is adamant about maintaining a policy against the terrorist group –also known as ISIS, or ISIL – that doesn’t involve boots on the ground, Graham said he wouldn’t hesitate to send American troops to the Middle East.
