SEE MORE ALEPPO UPDATES & EXCLUSIVES HERE

This press conference is an excellent information tool for anyone who has serious questions about the true size and scope of the propaganda war being waged against Syria by governments and media organizations in the US, UK and EU member states. Please share with friends, family and colleagues…

On December 9, 2016, the permanent mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations presented a panel of speakers who explained in detail what is really happening right now in Aleppo, Syria, and how the western media has intentionally distorted events in Syria over the last 5 years. Panels members include Dr. Bahman Azad, member of the coordinating committee for the Hands Off Syria and Organization Secretary of US Peace Council, and Eva Bartlett, independent Canadian journalist, Donna Nassor, professor and lawyer also part of US Peace Council, and Sara Flounders cofounder of the International Action Center.

This was a great news conference and I have shared it many times on Duran,RT and RI as I note have others.
Just scanning the news and Twitter (#Syria, #Aleppo) regarding the liberation of Aleppo and the people celebrating brought me to this article at Israeli site Haaretz. Whilst obviously biased against Syrians (they report the liberation as a massacre) it contained a few interesting admissions.
Firstly a mention of a Syrian Civil Defence member (fake White Helmets) evading capture in the last remaining districts and secondly a mention of a Turkish NGO called Shafak. In the article they claimed they were the owners of the warehouses of humanitarian food and medicines that have been reported as seized by the SAA when they liberate neighbourhoods. These warehouses were obviously being used to support the terrorists and to hoard food that was denied the East Aleppo population.
    http://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-news/syria/1.758513

I looked up Shafak and it appears it sprang up about the same time as White Helmets and was just another parallel infrastructure set up in Syria to support the terrorists under the guise of a humanitarian NGO. As can be seen from the link, all HQ is in Turkey along with its fundraising.

    Keep up the great work.

    • David

You’re just another paranoid conspiracy theory junkie. Hey maybe they are humanitarians DISGUISED as terrorists! The double conspiracy theory! LOL

      • Terry Ross

No conspiracy. Since i wrote that comment evidence has emerged from the testimomy of civilians fleeing their captors in East Aleppo. They speak of being starved by their captors who hoarded humanitarian aid in warehouses and used it to support fellow terrorists and their families. That precisely reinforces the comment I made.
BTW: I do not intend to provide you a platform for your ideology so I shall not be replying to future comment from you. To that end I have blocked you.

        • David

          And who collected this”evidence”? As if I didn’t know…..

      • JoeW

David, I suggest you do your research. The so called anti-Assad forces are mostly IS and al-Qaeda splinter groups (like al-Nustra which renamed itself because they were classified by the USA as a terror group) disguised as forces fighting for democracy. Under Assad, although he was a dictator, all religious and ethnic groups were protected. Get your head out of the dark spot you have it and start seeing not just looking. In any Muslim country, there are only two possibilities: (a) secular dictator and peace, or (b) so called ‘democracy’, extreme religious bias and mayhem, death and chaos – look at Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, just to mention a few. Democracy is incompatible with Sharia law, Muslims themselves say it over and over again, one just needs to listen.

Dr. Michael Savage: “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”

      • Renics Nykoros

Exactly that’s how things stand as he wrote, and with his insults go to the doctor, a psychiatrist, to undergo treatment

        • David

Oh, so you agree? They ARE humanitarians!

  • Mike

The MSM are just not interested in the REAL facts are they going by the size of the press audience. Such a pitiful bunch they are.

    • hobojack

CNN, Fox etc, and New York Slimes, Washington Compost, etc. are fake news at its finest…

  • Patrice

Yes Mike i was gonna say myself, obviously the MSM had other things better do to w/ theirs time than going to hear some truth about some importants events impacting thousands of people.Too busy trying to pin their election loss on Putin.

  • Michael

Very good. I just wanted to say that Samantha Power needs to be locked up in a high security insane asylum.

  • MxMillan

I just checked Truthdig, they also parroting what MSM did. I rarely go there anymore.

  • David

Another Assad regime propaganda feast dressed up with a UN backdrop. You like to claim UN respectability when it suits you. Such hypocrisy when you reject their findings on your human rights abuses (mass murder).

  • David

Such a telling indictment of Putin’s new world order, and his sycophantic pseudo “alternative” media, when even the US can JUSTIFIABLY (!) claim the moral high ground on Syria:
“It should shame you. Instead, by all appearances, it is emboldening
you. You are plotting your next assault. Are you truly incapable of
    shame?
Is there literally nothing that can shame you? Is there no act of
barbarism against civilians, no execution of a child that gets under
your skin, that just creeps you out a little bit? Is there nothing you
will not lie about or justify?”

EXACTLY! Russia, a country ruled by Putin’s corrupt and evil gangster elite, supported by a sycophantic media, who seize territory, bomb children, schools, hospitals and aid convoys, and shoot passenger planes out of the sky with impunity, then DENY it and blame it all on a western conspiracy. On top of that they dope their athletes, are engaged in cyber crime, and even falsify facts about WW2!

    • Michael

      See my comment below.

    • Yemen!

      Mosul!

500,000 Iraqi Children under 10 years old dead – no problem and worth it?!

      • David

I have no problem condemning crimes by anyone including the Saudi murderers. Will you condemn the Russian and Syrian regime murder of thousands of children in Aleppo?
I also agree that the west’s intervention in Iraq was wrong and condemn it. However, as you well know your using of the 500,000 figure (although definitely not worth it) is disingenuous as it is an estimate of how may MAY have died AS A RESULT of the invasion, and Not those DIRECTLY killed by Western bombing. I would think that in the future we may find that the Russian actions in Syria will result in a similar number.
What’s your problem with the way Mosul is being liberated from ISIS? Despite the predictions from your kind, the forces trying to capture Mosul seem to be taking the presence of civilians into account, and are not bombing indiscriminately like Putin and Assad’s murderers in Aleppo.
Also, why isn’t Grozny on your list?

        • Terry Ross

“Will you condemn the Russian and Syrian regime murder of thousands of children in Aleppo?”
Sure. Provide the evidence from a reliable PRIMARY source.

          • David

There is plenty of evidence like this:
            https://www.amnesty.org/en/countries/middle-east-and-north-africa/syria/report-syria/

            http://sn4hr.org/blog/2016/11/14/29132/

But you will just DENY, DENY, LIE,LIE, as your Kremlin masters do with their “get away with murder” “post truth” (ie make up your own!) philosophy. How do you manage to deny the evidence of your own eyes! Has East Aleppo been flattened by an earthquake?! Are ALL the maimed and dead children in these videos just talented actors?!!
YOU WILL NOT CONDEMN CHILD MURDERERS! -just because it doesn’t suit your politics- You are a contemptible scumbag.

    • MissCostello

      Up the meds.

    • Renics Nykoros

Any human superiority is this impersonation racism and Zionism

  • PILover

This is disgusting – to say that they never met ANYONE opposed to Assad, just a little critical? Or that they are all Syrians first?!?! Baloney. What a silly press conference full on individuals payed by Assad to sell his message. Maybe no one is opposed to Assad as he’s killed them all. Disgusting.

    • Renics Nykoros

      Müller:
      – Stirlitz! In the ass Eva Braun were found your fingerprints! How do you explain that?
      Stirlitz:
      – Begin by explaining how you found them there?
      Müller:
      – I have always regretted Stirlitz, that you’re not working away from me.
Here we need evidence-payment, not blah blah.

  • No wonder the US hates the UN. Too often it tells the inconvenient truth about the Evil Corporate Empire.

  • Poonam Srivastava

    Terrorists. Freedom Fighters. Regime Changers.
These are labels that I cannot swallow alongside of civil war.
External trouble makers, this is not people who are trying to better their own country.
When will we learn. No one would do this to their own people is the truth that seems clear.
I may not elect the president. Will I then bunker down below ground and start blowing up my city.

  • Lawrence White
  • David

Another pathetic attempt to dress up an Assad regime propaganda stunt as legitimate. This press conference WAS held in a room at the United Nations (by the Syrian government) but It’s views are certainly not endorsed by the UN.
Anyway, it backfired because it prompted investigation into the contributors and the views express and they have been suitably TRASHED!

You use Snopes as a source…? hahahahahaha It mostltly caters to an American audience reinforcing an American viewpoint and staffed by a North American crew.
      Stick to Entertainment Tonight.
