Cancel culture has now hit a fever pitch in the US – but it’s now spreading beyond just conservatives. It’s increasingly sweeping up who had previously been off-limits for cancelation. But this is what happens when you unleash the mob. The cancel mob requires a constant supply of people to cancel. It could be anyone: a musician, a science journalist, a popular talk show television host, or a professional athlete.
As the media landscape changes, so do the rules of the game. Right now, things are getting very strange indeed.
