War Mongers Inc: US Gen. Martin Dempsey Wants ‘Lethal Aid’ For Ukraine Junta

21st Century Wire says…

Earlier this week, we saw the conservative Pro-War Lobby in Washington DC – along with their financial sponsors in Israel – aggressively angling for a new war with Iran.

The biggest problem with US General Martin Dempsey’s latest war proposal against Russia, aside from pushing the globe closer to WWIII, is that he is advocating sending arms to an openly Nazi-sympathizing and fascist regime in Kiev. It simply flies in the face of history.

This is also the precise reason why Washington’s billionaire puppet, Ukrainian President Petro Poreshenko, was shunned by European leaders like Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande in Minsk two weeks ago. Hence, both Germany and France have vocally opposed having the NATO allies sending arms to Kiev. Europeans know very well the price they would pay if the region is pushed into war because of a US-led geopolitical power-play against Russia.

The reality is that Dempsey’s comments reveal what has already been happening behind the scenes, albeit covertly. Now that armed hostilities in Ukraine are on hold, Washington is carefully going public with plans to supply Kiev with “lethal aid”.

Other paid think tanks and other recipients of corporate dollars, like the Heritage Foundation in Washington DC, have been actively lobbying for an arming the Ukraine in order to bait Russia closer to a new Cold War reboot.

Presently, there are a number of highly paid war mongering lunatics running around Washington trying to sniff-out the next conflict – to keep them in power, and to remain relevant.

Clearly, the world does not want more war, so what is the problem with these people…?

Even with a sustainable ceasefire active in Ukraine, the US top brass is nursing schemes of arming Kiev troops with lethal aid, while the US president has prolonged anti-Russian sanctions introduced a year ago in connection with the Ukraine crisis.

It’s the first time that the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, has spoken out in favor of supplying Kiev troops with American weapons.

“I think we should absolutely consider lethal aid and it ought to be in the context of NATO allies because [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s ultimate objective is to fracture NATO,” AFP cited Dempsey, speaking to the Senate Armed Services Committee.

US Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges said in Berlin on Tuesday that Ukraine is demanding from Washington “intelligence, counter fire capability and something that can stop a Russian tank.”

Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said that supplying Ukraine with lethal aid is going to increase stakes for Russia, accused of helping the rebels in eastern Ukraine militarily, something Moscow consistently denies.

“When [Russian] mothers start seeing sons come home dead, when that price goes up, then that domestic support begins to shrink,” Hodges said, as cited by AP.

“If you don’t have something that gives muscle to the diplomacy, to the economic aspect, then it’s not going to be as effective,” he said.

A month ago, when the conflict in eastern Ukraine was in full swing, the Obama administration, was considering sending only “defensive” weapons to Kiev forces.

Now that the armed hostilities in Ukraine have been put on hold in general, Washington is going public with plans to supply Kiev with lethal aid.

US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland, said on Wednesday that Obama has not yet decided whether to send arms to Ukraine. Nuland said that Obama has received recommendations and advice from cabinet members but is still deliberating.
