New revelations point to Ukraine’s war effort is being severely undermined by Ukraine’s own internal political dysfunction and widespread corruption. It turns out that Ukraine’s anti-corruption agency NABU was originally set up with U.S. influence after 2014, not to stop corruption but to control and manage it, protecting Western-aligned interests while targeting others. The emergence of a major corruption scandal from NABU suggests, in their view, that U.S. protection for Zelensky may be weakening. Meanwhile, European leaders continue publicly supporting Ukraine, but their pro-war virtue-signaling is largely political theater—like Macron’s recent “memorandum of understanding” for future fighter jets that won’t materialize for years, long after Zelensky is gone. Clearly, Ukraine is trapped in a US and NATO-led proxy war with no real path to victory, as corruption and political decay accelerate its internal decline. All this and more.
