Zelensky Spin-master Arestovich Threatens ‘More Tantrums’ if US Won’t Supply Rockets

Zelensky’s abstruse spin-master Alexey Arestovich (pictured above), has threatened ‘more tantrums’ if the United States do not supply Ukraine with the medium range rockets they desire.

“The decision about the systems is coming soon, and we will understand whether they will supply them or not,” he said. “If they don’t, we’ll have an exemplary tantrum.”

Arestovich’s latest media rant was in response to a statement made by US President Joe Biden, who said that the US will not send any rockets to Ukraine which have a long-enough range to hit targets inside Russia.

Mideast Discourse explains why Moscow is concerned:

The US is expected to deliver two kinds of rocket systems to Ukraine, the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). Both can launch tactical ballistic missiles with a range of up to 300km, but the more affordable type of munitions for them are shorter-range rockets that can be fired in barrages.

Not surprisingly, Russia views such deliveries of heavy weapons as both a provocation and a dangerous escalation of the current situation.

Zelensky and his former TV production team now in charge of the government – have demanded the delivery of the MLRS rocket systems to supposedly counter Russia’s bombardment of Ukraine Armed Forces and their Nazi regiments positioned near the embattled Donbas region.

The obvious concern is that such action by US to escalate NATO’s proxy war against Russia – would risk placing US and its NATO allies into direct conflict with Moscow.

Officials in Moscow have welcomed President Biden’s statement not to send weapons to Ukraine that could reach deep inside Russia, but remain cautious in the event that Biden’s verbal promises may not be honored if pressure from Washington’s bi-partisan war lobby becomes too intense.

Russia has issued a warning to the US and NATO should it decide to supply Ukraine with medium-range rocket systems. The Guardian reports:

Russia has said that a US decision to supply advanced rocket systems and munitions to Ukraine was extremely negative and would increase the risk of a direct confrontation.

Reuters reports that the Russian deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, told the state news agency RIA Novosti that Moscow viewed US military aid to Ukraine “extremely negatively”.

Ryabkov singled out US plans to supply Kyiv with its high mobility artillery rocket system (Himars) – a multiple rocket launcher system that Washington said it would supply to Ukraine as part of its latest military aid package.

“Attempts to present the decision as containing an element of ‘self-restraint’ are useless,” Ryabkov said. “The fact that the United States, at the head of a group of states, is engaged in a purposeful pumping of weapons into the Kyiv regime is an obvious thing.”

Recently, the US approved a record $40 billion funding tranche for Ukraine, which included a large portion for sending weapons and armaments.
