WINNER: CNN’s Don Lemon Makes ‘Worst Journalism List of 2014’

21st Century Wire says…

According to an end of the year list complied by Columbia Journalism Review, CNN’s host Don Lemon was named as one of the worst journalists of 2014. While this should come as no surprise, this latest stain on Lemon’s resume is further proof that major media outlets and their propaganda puppets have lost the plot.

The fact that CNN’s Lemon, received this disgraceful ranking from CJR is more than a little eye-opening when you consider that the the well-known magazine’s chairman, Victor Navasky, is a former editor and publisher of the decidedly leftist magazine The Nation. Perhaps Lemon’s review signals a shift in the propaganda machine at CNN and that he, like other lefty anchor hatchet-men (Martin Bashir) before him, have been exposed for their poor taste and lack of credibility in the field of journalism.

Here is a quote from CJR fellow David Uberti, on the ranking of Don Lemon and his worst moments of 2014:

“On March 20, he asked guests whether Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 could have been swallowed by a black hole: “I know it’s preposterous, but is it preposterous?” He later compared spanking children to training dogs and probed similarities between the release of US Army POW Bowe Bergdahl and the Showtime series Homeland. When an alleged Bill Cosby rape victim appeared on his show on Nov. 18, he lectured, “You know, there are ways not to perform oral sex if you didn’t want to do it…Meaning the use of teeth, right?” Less than a week later, as protests turned violent in Ferguson, MO, he described the scene: “Obviously, there’s a smell of marijuana in the air.”

Below is the disgusting display at which CNN’s Don Lemon will try to frame reality. Watch as he tries to pin the blame on alleged Bill Cosby rape victim, Joan Tarshis…

Will liberal pundit Lemon be shipped out in the lead up to a 2016 election cycle?

CNN’s Don Lemon Named to ‘Worst Journalism of 2014’ List

The Hollywood Reporter

Don Lemon has picked up a dubious honor: ranking in a Columbia Journalism Review fellow’s list of the “worst journalism” of 2014.

The anchor has made headlines throughout the year for controversial moments during his tenure as a CNN newsroom anchor.

In a post written by David Uberti, the CJR fellow makes a case for why Lemon deserves to be ranked along with other missteps in journalism over the past year.

“As one of the most recognizable anchors on CNN, Don Lemon has helped lead the cable network’s coverage of the biggest stories of the year. Live television is exceedingly difficult to produce, of course, but Lemon’s gaffes this year offer a case study in how to choose words wisely — or not,” Uberti wrote.

Lemon’s comment that “Obviously, there’s a smell of marijuana” during a Ferguson protest and his remarks during an interview with a Bill Cosby accuser were cited as controversial moments by Uberti. The CNN wasn’t alone in the cable news world on the CJR worst list, Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends also made Uberti’s list.
