For the last 7 years, it has been touted by the western media and governments as the birthplace of the supposed “revolution” in March 2011. In reality, it was the birthplace of an extremist-led nightmare for Syria, the first fissure which helped to rip the country into pieces.
This morning, Syrian Army vehicles, flanked by Russian military police, entered the southern Syrian city of Daraa, and proceeded to raise the Syrian flag over an area previously held for years by radical Islamist ‘rebels’ and known terrorist factions.
Reports vary, but it is believed that possibly up to 2,000 remaining ‘rebel’ extremists and their families are stilling holding-out in the last extremist-held sector of Daraa city. Expect western media like The Guardian and CNN to begin dramatizing the ‘plight’ (White Helmets et al) of these last extremists in the very same fashion the media did preceding the SAA liberation operations in East Aleppo and Eastern Ghouta.
In addition to the terrorists facing defeat, Israel has also been forced to accept not only the defeat of its terrorist proxies, including ISIS, positioned along the southern front, but the reestablishment of Syrian government control of its own southern border and eventually – along the armistice line in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Haaretz admits:
“The story is over,” a senior defense official told Haaretz. The IDF’s Northern Command estimates the final push will take a few weeks, once the order is given.
It is only a matter of time before the remaining pockets of western and Israeli-backed terrorists are mopped-up in the southern region, leaving the US and its allies facing real defeat in their years-long effort to destabilize and trigger regime change in Syria.

Leith Aboufadel from Al Masdar News reports…
BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:40 P.M.) – The battle for Daraa city has ended after several days of intense clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and rebel forces.
Similar to the recent battles in the Daraa Governorate, the provincial capital battle entered in a decisive victory for the Syrian Army, as the rebels have agreed to terms of reconciliation.
The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has allowed the Russian military police to enter the districts they control in Daraa, as they begin the process of reconciliation.
In the next 48 hours, the Free Syrian Army is expected to handover their heavy and medium weapons to the Russian military police.
The Free Syrian Army fighters that do not want to reconcile with the Syrian government and the jihadist rebels from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham will be given safe passage to western Daraa.
As shown in the footage below, Russian military police were filmed entering the Daraa Al-Balad District that was controlled by the rebel forces for several years:
