‘Leroy the Masochist’ Endorses Donald Trump

While campaigning in Southern California ahead of this week’s GOP debate special on CNN, presidential candidate Donald Trump received his first official Hollywood endorsement by the always colorful, and sometimes controversial entertainer Gary Busey.

Busey told Fox News, “I know [Trump] personally. I know him professionally. He’s a great guy. He’s sharp. He’s fast.”

After going through a long rough patch battling substance and alcohol abuse in the 1980’s and 1990’s, as well as recovering from a life-threatening motorcycle accident, Busey’s career has seen a revival in recent years, as he kicks off this season’s hit show Dancing With the Stars featuring his normally wild and energetic on-screen presence.

Meanwhile, Republican presidential hopeful Trump is planning a 1,000-strong rally Tuesday evening aboard the battleship USS Iowa, docked in San Pedro, CA.

Latino crowds led by Gabriela Lopez are protesting Trump’s presence on the grounds of the candidate’s controversial comments regarding his call for more stringent US immigration policies. Lopez said, “This battleship is part of American history and should not allow a man who has injured and insulted a significant portion of the Los Angeles community.”

Promoting her new petition on Change.org, Lopez added, “We are for freedom of speech, however this ship represents freedom, equality and justice; terms that do not align with Mr. Trump’s political views.”

NBC TV announced this week that Arnold Schwarzenegger would takeover Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” show following the property tycoon’s recent comments on illegal immigration. Trump denies being dumped, stating instead that his departure was due to his belief that he will become the GOP nominee next fall in 2016.
