21st Century Wire says…

What else lies just beneath the surface?

Just one mile from the world-famous Stonehenge site, archaeologists have discovered a new, larger monument they are calling The Durrington Walls.

The monument was constructed around 4,500 years ago and scientists believe it was used for religious ceremonies or solstice rituals.

Around 90, 15ft long stones have been located with ground-penetrating radar and are arranged in a mile wide pattern; making it the largest such site in the UK.

Professor Vince Gaffney of the University of Bradford saidWe don’t think there’s anything quite like this anywhere else in the world. This is completely new and the scale is extraordinary“.

Obviously, nobody really know exactly what these monuments were used for or, perhaps even more importantly, how they were constructed.

Modern researchers point to Ancient Alien theories as the potential explanation. Recently, skeletons with coned heads were found in Russia and a 10,000 year old megalith rewrote Mediterranean history.

What do you believe these sites were used for, and, how were they constructed?
