21st Century Wire says…
Who are the ones pushing conspiracy theories these days? Those people on the internet, or the mainstream media?
It has been reported that supposed ‘aviation expert’ Jeff Wise, appearing on CNN, stated that ‘Vladimir Putin ordered Russian special forces to hijack Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and fly it to a spaceport in Kazakhstan‘.
This ‘expert’ ‘admits he has “no idea” why the Russian President would want to’ do something like this.
‘EXPERT TALK’: CNN’s Jeff Wise is a “aviation expert” war games bizarre conspiracy theories on air with an unquestioning Chris Cuomo.
Here are some of his wild claims:
“Maybe he wanted to demonstrate to the United States, which had imposed the first punitive sanctions on Russia the day before, that he could hurt the West and its allies anywhere in the world.”
“Maybe what he was really after were the secrets of one of the plane’s passengers.”
“Maybe there was something strategically crucial in the hold.”
“Or maybe he wanted the plane to show up unexpectedly somewhere someday, packed with explosives. There’s no way to know.”
Maybe, Mr Wise has absolutely no idea what he is talking about?
21WIRE geopolitical analyst, Patrick Henningsen, laments, “Unfortunately, these days, the biggest and wildest conspiracy theories are now coming from two primary sources – the mainstream media and the government.”
Imagine for a moment that Russia Today had a guest on any of their shows saying that the President of the United States had ordered the hijacking of a civilian airliner. That’s right – the outrage would be non-stop; potentially for weeks, if not months, on end. The President would have to make a statement, world leaders would have to express condemnation and RT, much like Press TV, would probably be axed from Western television networks.
Just when we thought that the mainstream media’s anti-Russian rhetoric had reached its peak, the mainstream media continues to assert Russia is ‘isolated‘, yet the nation continues to make headline-worthy global deals.
We’ve heard Russia has invaded Ukraine, but now Kiev admits there are no Russian troops fighting them. When simple rhetoric doesn’t work, the West exercises geopolitical tools to attack Russia in a move that could provoke a dangerous reaction.
Let’s not allow the mainstream media to push their unbridled conspiracy theories, while berating others for pointing out admitted, criminal acts of conspiracy.
