Liz Cheney, Daughter of Notorious Neocon, Crushed in Wyoming GOP Primary

Incumbent Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, daughter of the disgraced Neocon and former Bush VP Dick Cheney, has been defeated by Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman in the GOP primary for Wyoming’s at-large congressional district.

Cheney, who was one of the 10 House Republicans to vote in favor of impeaching then-President, and who led the Democrats’ politicized January 6th Investigation – intending to prevent Donald Trump from running for President in 2024, was also ousted from her role as head of the Congressional witch-hunt committee.

This year’s GOP primary was historic a blowout, as Hagemen garnered 66% of vote, compared to the incumbent’s paltry 28%.

For many pollsters, this incredible victory is being regarded as a soft referendum on a 2024 Trump run for the White House. A defiant Trump’s released the following statement on social media:

“Liz Cheney’s uninspiring concession speech, in front of a “tiny” crowd in the Great State of Wyoming, focused on her belief that the 2020 Presidential Election was not, despite massive and conclusive evidence to the contrary, Rigged & Stolen. It was, and that’s not even counting the fact that many election changes, in numerous States, were not approved by State Legislatures, an absolute must. Liz Cheney is a fool who played right into the hands of those who want to destroy our Country!”

Desperate Democratic lawmakers had urged Democrat voters to try and vote for Cheney in the GOP primary. Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota encouraged people to “please consider temporarily switching parties and voting for Liz Cheney on or by August 16th.”

Because of her role in the Stalinesque January 6th political show trial, Cheney is now widely regarded as a Deep State operative.

As the daughter of former notorious warmonger and profiteer Dick Cheney, Wyoming’s Republican voters have effectively ended the family’s sordid political dynasty.

Huff Post reports…

JACKSON, Wyo. — In a defeat that many of her supporters acknowledged was inevitable, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, one of former President Donald Trump’s fiercest GOP antagonists, lost her Republican primary on Tuesday to a Trump-endorsed opponent, attorney Harriet Hageman.

Cheney, a three-term congresswoman representing the nation’s reddest state, crossed the GOP base — as well as her Republican colleagues — when she voted with Democrats to impeach Trump for instigating the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The vote cost Cheney her spot as the No. 3 Republican in the U.S. House, and the speakership she was thought at one time to be eyeing.

“I will do whatever it takes to ensure that Donald Trump is never anywhere near the Oval Office, and I mean it,” Cheney said Tuesday night as she conceded the election, adding: “I love my country more.”

Cheney also served as the top Republican on the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack, a role that earned her an unprecedented rebuke from the Republican National Committee…
