SUNDAY SCREENING: The Two Koreas – ‘The Imposed Divide’ (2018)

This week the world saw a potential breakthrough in resolving the long-running crisis on the Korean Peninsula. For the first time in years the leaders of both North and the South, Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in, met at their shared border’s DMZ and started the process towards denuclearization of the peninsula.

This documentary film looks at how the two nations first became split and who was driving this polar agenda. Correspondent Anya Parampil explores how the two Koreas found themselves on different sides of the barricade, and looks at how Washington and its allies have been continually promoting division and conflict in an attempt to keep the two sides apart.
