SYRIA REPORT: After The Battle of Aleppo

This month, 21WIRE.TV is on the ground in Syria reporting on a number of stories about this conflict, both past and present – uncovering truths that have been intentionally omitted from western mainstream media coverage from this war.

From 2012 to late 2016, half of Syria’s second largest city, Aleppo, was occupied by numerous terrorist factions, by the Free Syrian Army, ISIS and finally dominated by Jabat al Nusra – who took over many areas including the eastern side of the city. The damage to East Aleppo is immense, and despite the level of destruction some residents are beginning to return to liberated areas now secured by the Syrian government to try and rebuild their homes, businesses and lives. 21WIRE Editor Patrick Henningsen goes on the ground in Syria to inspect the once beautiful and historic city, damaged from 5 years of war, and witness the painful first signs of rebuilding in this war-torn city.
