UK Death Squad? British SAS to Hunt and Kill Any British Citizens ‘Affiliated with ISIS’ in Iraq

21st Century Wire says…

It’s a simple formula: problem, reaction, solution. For the last few years, leading members the US-led ‘Coalition’ have helped to create an army of extremists in the Middle East. Now the British government appears to be trying to cash-in, in PR terms, on the mayhem it has helped to create.

According to Rupert Murdoch’s middlebrow publication The Times, defense sources are claiming that the British SAS will be ‘hunting down’ UK citizens affiliated with jihadist groups in Iraq in a new “kill or capture” strategy.

MASKED: US and British special forces are mixed in with militants in combat zones.

We’re told that a list of some 200 British jihadists at large in Iraq (and Syria?) has been compiled.

A kill list has been drawn up containing the names of hundreds of very bad people. A lot of them are from the UK. The hunt is now on for British Islamists who have effectively gone off-grid,” said an ‘anonymous’ source to The Times.

When you see a paper, especially a Murdoch paper, throwing around ‘anonymous gov’t sources’ then it’s a good bet that the story is a planted PR piece by the government.

This is a multinational special forces operation. The SAS have their own part of the plan and they will be going after British nationals. This is a kill or capture mission and it has already begun.”

Previously, the UK government claimed that its special forces were being ‘crippled’ over legal problems with carrying out state-sponsored assassinations. This new PR pivot looks designed to legitimize a dubious legal concept – using the emotive ‘ISIS’ brand to fashion some public consensus in favor of a policy of extrajudicial killing by UK and US military operatives overseas.

We just can’t do things the old way,” said an SAS ‘source’ to the Sunday Express.

Essentially, what is being proposed here is an extrajudicial British death squad operating freely in another nation state. Such a policy feigns the sovereignty of Iraq.

The reality is that at least since 2013, British special forces (most likely including active and former SAS men) have been intimately involved in training extremist takfiri militants in Jordan and Turkey – militants which include current members of ISIS. According to MI5 limited hangout The Guardian these ‘anti-Assad allies’ were meant to be a police task force used to maintain order in ‘post-war Syria.’  At the time, Der Spiegel reported that this program trained some 10,000 fighters supposedly to form a dozen rebel ‘combat units.’ Among other things, their training also included anti-tank weaponry. At the time, the US, UK and France claimed these 10,000 were ‘Free Syria Army’ fighters, but in reality are now members of Al Nusra Front, ISIS, Arar al Sham, Nour al-din al-Zenki and other western-backed ‘regime change’ foot soldiers in Syria – further illustrating the abject failure and desception of the US-UK-France-Tukey-GCC policy of fueling the 6 year conflict in Syria, and Iraq by extension.

This latest announcement by the British Army wilfully ignores certain realities on the ground. We now know that the US and UK’s largest arms sales client, Saudi Arabia and proxy war partners Qatar and Bahrain, have been financing ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

This amounts to more spin by the ‘Coalition’ – designed to rehabilitate a bankrupt policy and extend the life of a redundant War on Terror

The truth is that no one really knows what US or UK special forces are really doing when working in ‘grey’ areas in places like Syria and Iraq. Back in 2005, two undercover British SAS operatives dressed in Arab garb (photo, above), were caught shooting towards crowds and also planning to incite sectarian violence with a false flag attack – including setting off bombs in the main square of the port city of Basra, Iraq, coinciding with a religious event. The pair were first arrested by Iraqi police but subsequently “liberated” by British forces in a major military assault against a police facility in Basra – directed against the Iraqi police authorities with tanks and armed cars.

Whether this actually materializes or not, it still constitutes more international lawlessness by the Coalition, still making it up as they go along.
