In 1987, the film RoboCop debuted and featured a half-man half-robot cop patrolling the streets of Detroit, but now some car companies are planning on replacing cop cars in Los Angeles with drone cars by 2025.
Hollywood’s predictive programming is impressive, just think about Detroit’s own meltdown in 2009, foreshadowed in the 1980’s with the RoboCop film series.
A future LA in the year 2154 – patrolled by robots was detailed in the 2013 film Elysium.
