2010: Another record breaking winter. So what happened to global warming?

Britain and Europe have been hit hard for the third straight record-breaking winter season. Labeled by experts as the coldest winter in 100 years and set to blow well into 2011, it is already raising some very interesting questions about the new ideological split we are witnessing throughout society in the much celebrated green debate. Tonight Britain braces itself for a further 10 inches of snow and more sub-zero temperatures to come- with no let-up, top forecasters have warned. These unusual Arctic conditions are set to last through the Christmas and New Year bank holidays and beyond and as temperatures plummeted to -10c (14f), prompting the UK’s Met Office to state that this December 2010 was ‘almost certain’ to become the coldest since records began in 1910.  So is it not safe to say that we are witnessing a real, tangible and physical trend here? Unlike the million dollar computer-generated climate model projections produced by the UN’s elite circle of research grantees and bursary award-winning climate scientists, this new trend is actually a real one- one we can touch, feel and most importantly… one we can empirically measure.

Indeed, it is Britain who has been hit- yet again, by a siege of blizzards and freezing temperatures. As public transport and utilities face continued disruption in services, major airports are reporting closures as the snow drift continues to pile up.  It seems that temperatures will struggle to rising above freezing points for the second straight day and this will sure spell more chaos for the general welfare. For a relatively moderate, low altitude climate zone like the UK, such winter storms can cost lives and create an endless backlog of crisises that municipalities will have difficulty managing. There is a rather bizarre upside of course. If you count yourself as one of the millions worldwide who find yourself living in constant fear of global warming and climate change, there is one positive reassuring aspect to this now bona fide and well documented global cooling weather trend since 1998. This essentially means that you can now safely get out from under the bed and breathe a sigh of green relief as you look out your window to see everything covered in thick white again. Yes, yes, you are completely and utterly safe from CGI-created scary visions of sea levels rising- as seen in the science fiction “cult” film, Age of Stupid (yes, those are CGI graphics and no, sea levels are not rising), allegedly due to that arbitrary phantom menace… called climate change. But some well-meaning folks seem to have forgotten that the Earth’s climate is constantly changing- it always has done. What is the main driver of the Earth’s climate; its cloud cover, its weather patterns, its extreme climate cycles? Undoubtedly, it is that big red firey furnace in the sky- the Sun. Still though, this hasn’t stopped thousands of green-washed activists, hippies and guilt-ridden corporate rehab patients in search of a low calorie religious love-in, from chasing their paper tiger into the deepest darkest corner of this endless political forest. A generation lost to indoctrination from up-on-high, high, high up some of the world’s leading investment banks and arcane think tanks. And the hippies, well, they are also high.

The Club of Rome  (official progenitor of the global warming hoax) and the UN’s own well-documented programmes of social engineering(Agenda 21) and various departments of political division, all have seen resounding success, particularly between 2004-2008, before the ideological zeitgeist of global warming and its new alter ego, climate change, started heading south for the winter (all the way south to Antarctica, in fact). The inevitable collapse of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) is one recent sign that the whole effort to monetised and control Western lives through this coercive pseudo market is struggling to maintain its illusion of green utilitarianism. The writing was on the wall this past summer and went unnoticed by most green activists and passive spectators in the great climate debate. Although initial investors and shared holders managed to jump ship with their fortunes in tact, in the end, it was simply “unsustainable”. If you have unwavering faith in men like Al Gore, the UN’s own knighted IPCC body of 40-odd climate scientists and the Guardian’s resident earth expert George Monbiot, then you have effectively swallowed the blue pill. Here you have a license to switch off your critical thinking faculties because in your mind you can hear the following phrases, successfully implanted there, over and over again. “The debate is over, the science is settled, every scientist agrees”. Like a fundamentalist Christian, a Jew, or Muslim, you take the climate scriptures word for word. You are a true believer, one who somehow knows in his heart that there really is a thing called man-made CO2-driven global warming. It simply must be. And there is a ready-made crowd waiting for you at the church, where everyone is singing happily from the same hymn sheet- literally. What once passed for education in the West, was transformed into a top-down waterfall of relentless green propaganda- driven by middle class guilt and a multi-billion dollar gravy train of state-subsidised financial opportunities. And in the most bizarre turn of green ideology seen yet, more and more liberal-minded zealots are now claiming  ”that global cooling is what we must expect because of global warming”. If you are in any doubt as to the reality of this new claim, just ask any climate change advocate yourself and you will be amazed to hear this new party line stated. Another idea has been successfully implanted into the minds of this faithful flock. And then you have the skeptics- the demonised, the mavericks, the outcasts(of whom this author is one, and has yet to receive any money from ‘big oil’ etc) often stoned in public for challenging Herrs Gore, Strong, Hansen, Mann and Jones on certain hack aspects of their sacred computer-modeled science. The doubters knew something wasn’t right when Wall Street started its hedging and hyping of the world’s most innovative financial instrument yet- carbon emissions. They knew something was off kilter when carbon taxes inevitably became to main thrust of global warming shills and the United Nations. So after a third straight year of frostbite and ice skating down your neighborhood street and into a lamp post, it’s gone beyond a joke. You simply have no choice but to swallow the red pill. 

In the end, the climate debate comes down to Alice in Wonderland. Our advice: at least know which pill you have swallowed.

It seems that the only people in denial are the religious followers of the IPCC’s new Jonestown Church of climate change… drunk on a delusion that they are, in their own little way, saving the planet from the evil substance known as CO2. It’s become a sort of tribal division, where two tribes cannot seem to agree if the Sun orbits the Earth, or the Earth orbits the Sun. Throughout history tribes of people needed mythologies in order to give meaning to their lives. Climate Change is simply the latest mythology for this current epoch. In the 21st century, we thought modern man had surely advanced past this handicap, but alas… old habits die hard.  Alice… are you there Alice? —

The IMF and its Corporate Partners Begin Feeding on UK Natural Resources

Editors Note: As the green movement continues chasing phantom events like global warming and climate change, real environmental abuses continue to go virtually unchallenged. Case in point: a cash-strapped British Government is preparing to sell off over half of its forest land to a cartel of private corporations  and banks in league with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It’s an ironic reverse-Robin Hood play, where Sherwood Forest will be pilthered by the rich, away from the people and handed over to an invite-only guestlist of elite  corporations… Where is the ‘green movement’ during all this? Good question. Most so-called environmental activists have long since disappeared from the actual front-line where protecting natural assets was once top priority. Hungry for money and some media action, most have opted instead for guilty pleasures- indulging in the great green global farce, hell-bent on fighting against the most awesome non-existent enemy of all time- CO2 and climate change. This of course, has been a stroke of genius for the ruling cartel of globalist think tanks, foundations, GMO food producers and the major banks, allowing them to press ahead with what they do best- stripping our natural assets and leaving a toxic mess behind, most of which has gone unreported in recent years. Rather than covering these abuses and real threats, media pundits have chosen the CO2 bait; editors in the major media outlets have opted intstead to promote their glossy green sections and devote airtime to the new populist green version of  environmental news. A true fast-food media agenda. Like other dumbed-down causes… the War on Terror, the Cold War and Lady GaGa’s shopping habits- climate change is simple to sell and doesn’t require too much thought on the part of the audience. All this while millions of green-washed activists, hippies and young people waste their valuable energy, time, effort and money on a feel-good, apocalyptic green orgy of ignorant bliss. The Great IMF Fire Sale of the UK Has Begun 

Phil Brennan Infowars October 25, 2010 The British Government is about to sell off over half of all UK Forests that are currently under the control of the Forestry Commission to private corporations as the asset-stripping of the UK is begun on behalf of the International Monetary Fund and the Big Six Beast Banks. Caroline Spelman, the environment secretary, has just announced plans to sell around half of our forests to the mega-corporations – that is 150,000 hectares of prime woodland – as well as numerous other properties. The New Forest, Sherwood Forest, and the Forest of Dean could be targeted for sale. The Sunday Telegraph provided a map of which forests are owned by the state through the Forestry Commission:

Under the direction of the IMF, bankrupt Britain is preparing to sell-off on the cheap half its remaining woodlands to corporations.

The vast majority of these forests are in Wales, West Scotland and the North East of England. Most of these forests will be sold off to housing developers, timber merchants, power generators and Centre-Parcs Ltd for golf courses and holiday camps. Our right of access to these forests will be severely curtailed, and we will have lost a great natural resource that can never be bought back for the People. As we have already stated, this selling off of prime forestry land is part of the mass looting that will occur by the IMF on behalf of the Big Six Beast Banks and Mega-Corporations. During the IMF Riots in Greece, the Greek government was busy selling off several islands to the same bankers who deliberately bankrupted Greece in the first place, so it comes as no surprise that similar things are being done here. What does come as a surprise is that this IMF Fire-Sale is occurring even before the British people have had their IMF Austerity Riots.

Then there is the issue of the UN’s Agenda 21 – how they plan to push the vast majority of people into big cities and out of the countryside so that the people will be far easier to control as the One World Government takes over. Once crushed within cities, living standards will go down remarkably and access to land for us will be at a premium. We will become more and more reliant on mega-corporations to supply our food and other resources, which puts us in danger of manufactured scarcity and mass starvation, because we will not have independent means of growing our own food as more and more public land within the cities will be sold off for dormitory-style housing projects under Agenda 21. In the United States they are already trying to make it illegal to grow your own food through S510, and it is only a matter of time before the Communitarian European Union Dictatorship follows suit. This is to be done through Codex Alimentarius under the World Trade Organisation. Meanwhile, rioting in the streets will not do any good for us as the IMF, World Bank, and United Nations are hell-bent on bankrupting the people so that we will not be able to effectively resist the One World Government being put in place for the benefit of the Globalist Elites and the Mega-Corporations. The government wants us to riot so that they can crack down hard on us and then use the riots as an excuse to implement even more of the New World Order Control Grid around us. Targeted peaceful protests are the only means to fight against the IMF Fire-Sale of our forests, which means all us old anti-bypass protesters and Tree-Pixies (tree-squatters) are going to have to come out of retirement to show the younger ones how it is done, while we have the means of peaceful protest still available to us. This is not just about preventing our criminal government from selling the national silver, this is also about our civil liberties as the deliberate economic collapse gathers pace in order to put people into poverty and under more government control. Another Domino Falls: UK’s Leading Scientific Body Retreats on Climate Change

By Patrick Henningsen 21st Century Wire Sept 30, 2010 It’s the latest in a series of high-profile set-backs suffered by global warming theorists- the UK’s leading scientific body has decided to rewrite its own definitive guide on climate change, now admitting that it is “not known” how much warmer the planet will become. The Royal Society has released a new guide which outlines a retreat from its former vanguard stance on the threat of climate change and man-made global warming. The decision to update their scientific guide came after 43 of its members complained that the previous versions failed to take into account the opinion of climate change sceptics. The new guide, entitled ‘Climate change: a summary of the science’, concedes that there are now major ‘uncertainties’ regarding the once sacred ‘scientific consensus’ behind man-made global warming theory, admitting that not only is it impossible to know for sure how the Earth’s climate will change in the future but it cannot possibly know what the effects may be. The 19-page guide states clearly, ’It is not possible to determine exactly how much the Earth will warm or exactly how the climate will change in the future, but careful estimates of potential changes and associated uncertainties have been made”. The guide continues stating, “There is currently insufficient understanding of the enhanced melting and retreat of the ice sheets on Greenland and West Antarctica to predict exactly how much the rate of sea level rise will increase above that observed in the past century for a given temperature increase”. In a Sept 20, 2010 article published on the UK Daily Mail, Professor Anthony Kelly, academic advisor to  Britain’s Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) explains, ”The previous guidance was discouraging debate rather than encouraging it among knowledgeable people. The new guidance is clearer and a very much better document”. The decision to revise and tone down its alarmist position on climate change demonstrates a clear u-turn on its previous 2007 climate pamphlet, one which is said to have caused an internal rebellion by the 43 fellows of the Society, triggering a review and subsequent revision. The 2007 publication, which parroted the IPCC’s popular, but misleading impression that the ‘science is settled’ – made way for the new guide which accepts that important questions remain open and uncertainties unresolved. “The Royal Society now also agrees(with us) that the warming trend of the 1980s and 90s has come to a halt in the last 10 years,” said Dr Benny Peiser, the Director of GWPF. Economic realities and a marked shift in public opinion since last year’s Climategate scandal and failure of the much-hyped UN Copenhagen Summit have triggered a series of falling dominos within the climate change and anthropogenic global warming (AGW) orthodoxy. The Royal Society’s shift also follows last week’s blow to the radical climatist agenda within Britain, where the new Coalition Government announced it will be slashing its Climate Change Department’s budget and folding the former free-standing bureaucracy into the Treasury department.

  Some analysts also believe that the Society’s new guide does not go far enough. Dr David Whitehouse, the science editor of the GWPF said: “The biggest failing of the new guide is that it dismisses temperature data prior to 1850 as limited and leaves it at that. It would cast a whole new light on today’s warming if the Medieval Warm Period, the Roman Warm Period and the Bronze Age Warm Period were as warm as today, possibility even warmer than today. A thorough discussion of the growing empirical evidence for the global existence of the Medieval Warm Period and its implications would have been a valuable addition to the new report.” In addition, this retreat by the Royal Society signals a very real trend in climate science circles where political activism is slowly being replaced by a more sober assessment of the scientific evidence and ongoing climate debates. The Political Fallout To date, the political activist engine powering climate change has been anchored by an elite circle of scientists, foundations, green journalists, carbon financiers- and politicians looking for a good cause. The fuel for this engine has been supplied by short-term economic opportunities, most of which has been in the form of massive research grants, subsidies and feed-in tariffs(triggering a rise in energy costs to the consumer) by the State and confederate bodies like the UN and the European Union. In the US, problems with climate change inspired instruments like Cap and Trade are more chronic, where North America’s sole carbon trading market, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), has recently been scaled down following a decline in investment and the near complete collapse in carbon emission prices. As formerly obedient IPCC scientists and insiders gradually break ranks and defect over to the common sense camp, and foundations like the Royal Society reverse their policies on the nature of the climate threat, politicians may lose the once reliable traction they enjoyed when promoting their various green agendas. This is followed, of course, by the economic reality of any democracy whereby taxpayers cannot really back departments, much less policies, that do not deliver a measured benefit to the public welfare. If the IPCC’s elite chamber of scientists cannot be trusted to objectively measure past global temperatures (actual UN data sets show that there has been no temperature increase since circa 1998), then it goes without saying that politicians cannot build real-world policy catering for a crisis that is not actually happening. The rising tide of scepticism and the reemergence of real scientific analysis will surely spell an end to the innumerable faith-based policies and guesswork forecasting that has plagued the climate change movement to date. As science gradually makes its way back into line with reality and real world observation, it follows that many of the climate bureaucracies erected since 2000 will stumble as a result. The reason for this phenomenon is spelled out in the basic laws of ‘political physics’; a collapse of the so-called “scientific consensus” comes into direct conflict with one of the main tenets of politics- plausible deniability. When politicians can no longer use scientists as scapegoats, as in “it’s not our fault, they told us CO2 was heating up the planet…”, then the political agenda is all but dead. The reality curve is certainly catching up to climate change now.

The Great Collapse of the Chicago Climate Exchange

Plagued by a free fall in carbon emissions prices and the perennial failure of Washington to pass any binding Cap and Trade Bill, it seems that the Chicago Climate Exchange is on its last leg, announcing that it will be scaling back its operations.

Chicago Climate Exchange or CCX, is North America’s sole voluntary, legally binding greenhouse gas trading and carbon “offset” projects in North America and Brazil. Rueters reported on Aug 11th that Intercontinental Exchange Inc, the operating body who purchased the struggling CCX in May this year, will be scaling back major operations this month, a move that includes massive layoffs. This is likely due to the complete market free-fall of their only product… carbon emissions.

Anthony Watts from the climate watchdog website Watts Up With That posts a graph from the CCX which shows carbon prices dropping like a stone, bottoming out this week at the embarrassingly low figure of 10 cents per tonne. Compare this to trading prices during its brief hay day in May and June 2008 where market highs reached $5.85 and $7.40 respectively, and you can say that most investors will be evaluating carbon as one of today’s more worthless commodities.What a difference a year makes. It’s been nine months since the world watched the bottom drop out of a much-hyped UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen back in Dec 2009, with its neo-colonial and UN Global Government taxation agenda exposed within the first days of the summit. One of the keystones of the Climate Change alarmist movement was its audacious attempt to create a functioning market by monetizing the atmospheric trace gas known as CO2. Since last year, a number of scandals like Climategate have penetrated mainstream conversation, putting a rather awkward limp in the once nimble Man-Made Global Warming movement. Hence, apocalyptic frenzies and fears have dissipated and carbon prices around the world have continued to be pummelled by the market.

Monetizing CO2: the carbon neutral dream that no country could ever afford.


A Financial ‘Boondoggle’
Unlike most real markets, the carbon market was created by banks and governments so that new investment opportunities could seamlessly dovetail with specific government policies. It’s a fantasy casino based on a doctrine of pure science fiction. Certainly, gaming the system has always been at the top on the agenda of the new green eco-trader. Most people, investors included, might innocently ask the fundamental question, “what’s the point of having a CO2 commodities market?” The answer to that question should be obvious by now, and you can certainly look to the initial stakeholders in the various international climate trading bodies for a ‘Who’s Who’ list of individuals that have actively been pushing the global warming concept from its inception.

As American’s own CCX nears total collapse, climate alarmists and their vested partners are pinning their hopes on Europe and Climate Exchange Plc. With most European countries happily singing from the same EU song sheet, institutional investment in the carbon market has seen a slightly more sustained existence. Europe’s socialized historical habit of subsidizing anything and everything means that it has been a better safe haven for something as radical as a carbon market. Many financial analysts would say that carbon requires a relatively steady price of around €40 a tonne in order to spur industrial investment in cleaner technologies, but unfortunately, Copenhagen failed and the announcements of emissions cuts are not coming as expected. Perhaps the reality gap is beginning to set in between governments’ political capital in climate change and the peoples’ ability to believe in global warming. Either way, the market will not be able to deliver such lofty figures, which is why real investors are getting out of the carbon market in 2010.

The front end of this game of ‘supply and demand’ is heavily reliant on governments making lofty announcements about future emissions targets. The logic here is that cutting emissions increases demand for carbon allowances. In the absence of such a restriction of the market, it was expected that the price would fall, and naturally that’s exactly what happened. In 2008, it cost European traders €31 to pump out a tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere, but today it will set you back about half that at €15. You will be hard pressed to find any financial wizard/pundit giving a sermon on a bullish carbon market in the near future- it’s just not happening anymore. On the back end of the game, things are a bit shadier to say the least- some might call it a recipe for corruption. The industrial monopoly power giants and other green businesses who are ‘well connected’ are of course, being allocated free EU Carbon Allowances until 2012, but from 2013 some sectors will have to pay for 20% of their allowances (those with weaker political influence in Brussels), rising each year to 60% in 2020. Many government/power company ‘green initiatives’ will automatically result in high energy price to consumers, which naturally means guaranteed profit increases for those same corporations (see Enron).

Off-set scam
Carbon trading is underpinned by an equally dodgy product called ‘carbon off-sets”, most of which are taken on face value by the buyer. Not based on an actual ton of carbon emitted, rather governing agencies are issuing certificates for a fictional commodity of emissions not emitted. A rather wild concept. Worse than this however, it is near impossible to verify which of these thousands of so-called off-set projects in the developing world are actually legitimate. In the coming years, we will no doubt see or read a number exposes detailing the depths of this fantastic green scam.

Get in early and then get out
The formula: create an investment vehicle, hype the new commodity, buy low, watch share prices rise, sell high. The result is money, lots of it. In some cases it’s been about driving up the share prices of companies Gore’s group has already invested in. The fact that the original shareholders of the CCX have already bailed out with their sale to Intercontinental Exchange Inc. for a modest $600 million earlier this year only reinforces the reality that its creators have already lost faith in their elaborate invention. Likewise, the self-styled leaders of the climate change crusade Maurice Strong and Al Gore have already cashed in carbon fortunes already, whilst other active politicians like US President Barrack Obama, and United Nations IPCC Chief Rajendra K. Pachauri (arguably the world’s wealthiest retired railway engineer) are engaged in similar play with their own financial interests in the Carbon Markets.Like all government rigged quasi-commercial schemes, the only real beneficiaries are the initial shareholders- a special inner circle who are naturally ahead of the curve knowing about legislation and policy before it comes into existence. They are sometimes called the great and the good, the in-crowd, or the smartest men in the room (again, see Enron). Of these, almost all have jumped ship out of the market while their preferred shares- or in the case of the larger energy and manufacturing monopolies, their gratis “carbon allowances” given to them free by their governments- are still worth something. If you’re on the inside, it’s simple: get in early, make money and then get out.

Climate change based on science fiction
Pointing out the obvious is always a painful thing in the world of human affairs. The real reason for the complete and total failure of the concept behind trading an atmospheric gas like CO2 is something few within the green block will dare to even mention now, and it’s the same reason why the whole movement will go down in history as one of the most flamboyant efforts in the history of economics. It’s not just hubris. The whole idea behind making CO2 a commodity was to make it expensive and thus reduce the amount produced, which would (they hoped) reduce the effect of anthropogenic (man-made) global warming, or ‘climate change’ as it’s now commonly referred to. There was only one massive problem with this equation – there has been no global warming since 1998. So despite the hundreds of millions, perhaps billions spent on research and computer models addressing this possibility, no scientist or body has been able to show that man’s CO2 contribution has had any effect on the global temperature. Another massive blind spot for climatists is their almost religious denial that the sun might have any effect on the earth’s climate (studies show that it does, of course) – a major sore spot in any debate on global warming.Placed in its proper historical context, we can see that the man-made global warming movement was a classic merger of radical Collectivist ideas and huge financial opportunities. Men like Maurice Strong looked for their moral positions to be anchored by a small group of hand-picked ‘scientific authorities’, a latter day technocracy if you will. On the opportunist side we also see those same scientists who have made  their careers, many millions of dollars over the last decade alone, on grants to prove that global warming was somehow happening. Other financial opportunists will include Al Gore, scores of companies like Carbon Fund and a multitude of charities soliciting millions in donations to save the planet, all of whom were hoping to cash in on this non-event until its financial opportunities eventually die out.To date, the timeline of the planned green economy has moved at an impressive pace. If you step back and marvel at the timing and combination of the climate change movement and carbon trading business it’s enough to make you dizzy. Advanced positioning promised fortunes for those with inside knowledge before the global warming PR cycle went orbital in 2006. Never has the world seen a more stunning collusion between government (include the UN here) and big business, a tango that makes fascist enterprises like Mussolini’s Italy or Franco’s Spain look like mere student internships.

Still hoping for some silver lining in this otherwise cloud of failure, most diehard green activists are laying the blame on governments for giving away too many free carbon coupons in recent years. Certainly there is a valid economic point there, but greens were all too eager to get into bed with Wall Street and the Fabian Socialists in order to realize their dream of a new utopia. The current color-blind global financial system based on derivatives, futures and sub-prime gambling products will eventually take down the carbon market altogether, as speculators prey on untapped markets, selling more worthless paper to an ever decreasing naive minority. In the wake of the dot com boom and the housing boom, Wall Street certainly tried to make environmentalism sexy and trendy for investors, but we can see now that the results speak for themselves — CO2, a penny stock for kids. “Roll up, roll up. Anyone want a tonne of CO2 for 10 cents?”

In the end it’s just another age-old tale of big business, grovelling academics, power politics… and easy money(see also: slush fund). So it doesn’t require an expert to tell you that the carbon market was doomed to fail from the beginning. Let’s just hope it doesn’t require another Wall Street-style bailout.

The IPCC ‘consensus’ on climate change was phoney, says top IPCC insider

Lawrence Solomon National Post June 14, 2010 The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change misled the press and public into believing that thousands of scientists backed its claims on manmade global warming, according to Mike Hulme, a prominent climate scientist and IPCC insider.  The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was “only a few dozen experts,” he states in a paper for Progress in Physical Geography, co-authored with student Martin Mahony. “Claims such as ‘2,500 of the world’s leading scientists have reached a consensus that human activities are having a significant influence on the climate’ are disingenuous,” the paper states unambiguously, adding that they rendered “the IPCC vulnerable to outside criticism.”

Hulme, Professor of Climate Change in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia – the university of Climategate fame — is the founding Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and one of the UK’s most prominent climate scientists. Lethal Moron: Danny Glover Blames Haiti Earthquake on ‘Climate Change’

By Patrick Henningsen As Haiti realizes its damage and death toll from this week’s catastrophic earthquake, Hollywood’s well-intentioned globalist cheerleaders are lining up to seize on the political opportunity, this time laying blame for the natural disaster on a likely culprit… global warming and climate change. During his recent interview on GritTV, Hollywood actor and Lethal Weapon star Danny Glover said, “When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens(to Haiti), you know what I’m say’in’?” So according to Glover, the punishment unleashed on the people of Haiti is retribution for our collective sins of fomenting global warming and our failing to pass a binding treaty at Copenhagen. Glover’s comments of course reaffirm the newly emerging religious hierarchy we are seeing through the popular modern mythology of climate change, one where Nature’s Fury supersedes what was previously classed as God’s Fury. Glover’s comments to the masses are very clear in this respect. In this context, the new Earth deity, or Gaia, has exerted its power over the old Judeo-Christian deity known as God. Originally proposed by James Lovelock as the earth feedback hypothesis, it was named the “Gaia Hypothesis” after Gaia, the Greek supreme goddess of Earth. The high profile actor’s charge of Earth’s apparent retribution appears to (this time anyway) have trumped even that of popular right-wing Christian TV evangelist Pat Robertson, who himself claimed that the disaster in Haiti was ‘God’s fury on Haitian people to choosing Voodoo over Jesus’. This followed his equally outlandish commentary about Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005, when he said it was ‘heavenly punishment’ for legal abortion in the US. Laughable as it might be, millions worldwide tune into Pat Robertson for spiritual guidance. And misguided as they might also be, celebrity A-listers like Glover are considered an ‘official source’ by fans when it comes to political matters, giving assumed credibility to what ever cause that a said celebrity takes on- even if it’s not rooted in reality. And so the mythology continues. Such are the times we live in. Indeed, Haiti got hit hard, as any third world ‘banana republic’ would. But few can argue that if this quake had struck in Florida, USA, the losses would’ve been but a small percentage of those suffered on the impoverished island nation. When we see these natural- or man-made disasters being repeatedly chronicled all over our Western media coverage- in Columbia, Thailand, Armenia, Turkey, Rwanda or Palestine, we each turn to each other  and acknowledge how lucky we are lucky to be living in the “developed” world where sophisticated safety measures and disaster response is something we take for granted. However, Globalist supporters of treaties like those drafted this past winter in Copenhagen will have you believe that it is NOT a moral imperative to let these poorer countries develop up to a level that we have enjoyed in the West. Their excuse for this is their belief that the ‘developing world’ cannot develop because they will be contributing to the scourge of global warming and climate change- two non-existent threats, both failed scientific theories now thoroughly discredited in the wake of Climate Gate and repeated record cold temperatures across the globe this winter. Controlled Left Media It is interesting to note that the so-called independent outlet GritTV which carried the Danny Glover piece, has solid ties to the ‘controlled left’ gatekeeper media complex, falling under the umbrella of Free Speech TV whose key players include the likes of Christian Parenti, a Soros Senior Justice Fellow and a Ford Foundation Fellow. It’s well documented that both George Soros and the Ford Foundation  have their fingers in most globalist, world banking cartel and world government agendas, so it’s not surprising that Grit TV’s parent organization Free Speech TV had joined forces with Greenpeace- itself an adroit tool of the globalist climate collective, to help ram through the global government treaty designed to cripple already economically ravaged third world nations, thus maintaining the neo-colonial model of the New World Order(formerly known as the Old World Order). Haiti: Still Under the Thumb of the West Born through slaves’ revolts against their French masters, Haiti was the first republic founded from African ancestry, but has spent most of its last few decades fending off US and corporate efforts to control its fragile destiny, with the United States having already invading Haiti twice. Recent history saw President Bill Clinton sending some 20,000 soldiers to Haiti in 1994 to restore then favoured Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the country’s first freely elected leader in 200 years. Popular at home, the outspoken Aristide was a regular political thorn in the side of Washington, single-handedly able to strip the White House of its assumed moral high ground on issues like forced repatriation of Haitian refugees at sea. He was President again from 2001 to 2004 before being ousted in a February 2004 military coup. The progressive leader alleged that he was kidnapped by the United States and French military operatives and forced into exile in South Africa. Since Aristide’s most recent ousting, things have fallen apart in Haiti as it has felt the full force of U.S. foreign policy-induced chaos there. Both his removals from office were preceded by US calls to cut off foreign aid to Haiti, a form of economic  sanction routinely employed by the US to sow domestic discontent within client states that fall under its sphere of influence, eventually paving the way to a popular uprising, followed by an ousting of a democratically elected leader and the installation of a favoured US political puppet. Now with its third US military mobilisation in Haiti well under way- this time for humanitarian purposes, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, said that the United States will be sending extra troops and marines, a hospital ship, and more helicopters to Haiti in the coming days. US Defence Secretary Robert Gates tells a news conference in Washington that this new “military”(?) effort in Haiti is the “highest priority for US military assets in this hemisphere”. Of that we can be sure. Just how long the US military will stay in Haiti this time? That’s anyone’s guess. The only sound, long term solution for countries like Haiti, is that they be allowed to develop their own resources, trade and modernize without military interference from Washington or economic meddling from the World Bank, IMF, the usual multi-national corporations as well as crippling environmental UN treaties like Copenhagen.
