It appears that Libya’s former leader Muammar Gaddafi may have been handed down his final verdict by NATO rebels, but it’s perhaps an even more bloody awful fate already suffered by a morally detached western civilization.
The man who liberated his country from the tyrannical monarchy of King Idris back in 1969… was tried and sentenced by bullet today.
Gaddafi modeled himself after Omar Mukhtar, The Lion of the Desert, the only other man who has led a genuine, independent Libyan resistance, fighting against a brutal Italian colonization in 1927. Yet, our media tell us he’s just another dead tyrant.
Unable to conceal her philistine nature, pathetic US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the opportunity to crack a predictably disingenuous joke. When hearing the news of Gaddafi’s death she cackled as she told reporters, “We came, we saw, he died!”

This has become the new narrative in the US and western Europe now, where foreign leaders and other non-state actors with brown skin are given lengthy trials through press briefings by suited politicians in places like Washington, London and Paris, echoed by the corporate media until an antagonist is born for public consumption.
Following the White House’s comical staged hoax of SEAL Team 6′s gallant raid on long-dead Osama bin Laden, and with no evidence to show it actually happened other than President Obama’s TV speeches- we get the next public assassination. After all, Obama’s far-fetched tale of the bin-Laden mission somehow vindicated all those innocent lives ruined by US incarceration and outright torture of thousands of young men since the War on Terror officially began in 2001.
Al Jazeera will no doubt play the shaky cell phone video of the man being stripped and dragged through the streets of Sirte by the NATO rebel mob. Somehow they believe, Gaddafi’s brutal post-mortem will vindicate their careless efforts and somehow make right the thousands of innocents who have perished- so that Libya can finally become part of the globalist, debt-based, neoliberal economic IMF system.
The west and its banking elite have nothing left to plunder other than middle class pension funds and incomes at home, so they are relying on plundering countries in the east and south in order to refill its sadly diminishing coffers. This is the only way to get their hands on any real liquidity or assets.
JUSTICE? Gaddafi could never be put on trial by the West, it's a stage they cannot afford to give him.
The same treatment was given to Iraq’s Saddam Hussein. Like Gaddafi and Osama bin Laden, he worked hand in hand with America’s CIA and Britain’s MI6 in order to help western intelligence agencies achieve their operational goals, and thus the foreign policy objectives of the US, Great Britain and Israel. Grainy cell phone videos of Saddam’s circus execution somehow vindicated those in the west who liquidated so many innocent Iraqi lives since 1991, and arguably before.
This is the new trend in dispensing due process, in a declining western civilization where blood-lust suffices for justice.
After the protracted media trials of both Slobodan Milosevic and Saddam Hussein, globalist power-brokers will never allow their war criminals to stand trial and spill the beans on all their dirty little secrets.
Over the last few decades, both Americans and western Europeans have become well-trained media consumers, and absorb their talking points much in the same way that grade school children dutifully repeat after their teachers and walk in single file. As adults, their teachers are CNN, FOX, the BBC, and the newest addition to the state information corps, US CENTCOM’s own Al Jazeera. None of them have any genuine moral or ethical perspective left in their editorial vision. The corporate networks will reserve any real humanitarian compassion for a handful of trapped miners, baby seals, missing Caucasian children and Amanda Knox.
Our new teachers have taught the dutifully minded among us that when the mob labels a head of state or non-state actor as a tyrant, then regime change must take place, and that this man deserves to die. They have taught us that one dead US soldier is worth more in headlines than 100 dead brown-skinned Iraqis, Afghanis, Palestinians, or Libyans- women and children included. That is the overwhelming power of the 21st century media.
Will Libya have anything near the stability it enjoyed over the last 30 years? Will its people enjoy the mountain of state benefits available to them under the Gaddafi rein? Will Libyans be able to retain ownership of their country’s bounty of natural resources, and see the state reinvesting its profits back into their country for the benefit of future generations?
History has taught us that the answer to each and every one of these questions is of course…no.
History has written all over the sands of the Maghreb of North Africa, and Libya in particular. It has always been under the thumb of one empire or another- from the Romans, the Spanish, the Vatican’s Knights of Malta, the Ottomans, and Mussolini’s Italy.
Libya’s first brush with America came in the early 19th century, when war broke out between the United States and what was then referred to as Tripolitania, in what came to be known as the Barbary Wars. Only this time around the Barbary pirates are on the other side of the fighting, and they are known the world over by the name of ‘NATO’.
It’s only fitting that this latest chapter of history should be written as follows…
It was clear from day one that the Anglo-American empire, along with its clients like Qatar, were actively supporting and planning to bring destabilization to the country. From the very first days of the civil war in January 2011, before the shell casings had even hit the ground, western envoys and consultants worked with known al-Qaida fighters and criminals in Libya to form a new NTC government, a new central bank and a new state oil holding company. NATO were deployed to give brutal air support to these new gangs of rebel paramilitaries, and for nearly 10 months, both those groups killed, tortured, raped and looted everything in their path.
Meanwhile, offshore transnational corporations from the US, Europe and Qatar carved up the country’s assets. Months followed years of instability, infighting and acts of internal retribution followed. The poor became poorer, the rich became richer, organized crime blossomed and thousands of middle class Libyans were allowed to immigrate to the UK, France and Italy.
This would come to be known as Libya’s liberation.
What it means
The UN issued the citation, and NATO came in with the tow truck. Make no mistake, in the real world, NATO is the USA and the USA is NATO. It’s a politically correct way of using military force without being seen to be acting alone as an imperial aggressor. But what about the NTC’s death squads, the theft, the rape, the torture and destruction of citizens’ property, business, and whole lives?
To pass the buck a little further, NATO’s goals and end-game is handed over to Libya’s NTC, this way everyone’s asses are covered.
Politicians in Washington, London and Paris should be proud. They got everything they wanted, and with no dirt under their nails.
If no one in the US, UK, France, the UN or NATO’s technicians of death are held accountable for the sacking and looting of Libya- the crime of the 21st century, then expect that they will simply move forward, and do it again, and again. So who’s next? Syria?
There is no more moral high ground, no more western values, no beliefs to use as a back-stop for western civilization.
Was Gaddafi guilty? Is that it then, a bullet?
He will never be afforded the same trial that anyone reading this article would expect as their god-given right. So what makes any among us believe that we deserve any of these so-called rights we think we enjoy in the west?
Meanwhile, the US and UK corporate media can’t stop parading those barbaric pictures on the front page in exactly the same manner as Libya’s NATO rebels where parading corpses around town. And this is what 2000 years of civilization brought?
In 2008, Barack Obama made history as the first black President in the United States of America. Three years later, he has made history again, this time as the first US President to establish a permanent US military presence on the African continent.
Obama announced late last week, “I believe that deploying these U.S. armed forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter-LRA efforts in central Africa.”

It is ironic that America’s first black President would be the one to establish a permanent US military beach head in Africa, but one only has to read the numerous strategic briefings available from U.S. AFRICOM to reveal a long-range Anglo-American agenda for the Dark Continent.
When the US formed AFRICOM in 2007 under President George W. Bush, 49 different countries signed on to the US military imperial charter for Africa.
AFICOM is a colonial subsidary of Neoconservative pièce de résistance known as the Project for a New American Century (PNAC). In sporting terms, you could say that Bush Jr kicked the ball down the field in 2007, but it is Barack Obama who has carried the ball over the goal line in 2011.
Last Friday, Obama extended his bold new military safari tour of Africa, ordering the deployment of 100 special forces US troops to the central Africa country of Uganda, allegedly to support local forces in battling the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). Formed in 1987, they have been engaged in an armed rebellion against the ruling Ugandan government.
Interestingly, LRA’s leader is the infamous Joseph Kony, who also has all the makings of a bin-Ladenesque comic book villain. Should that conflict escalate, tales of Kony will provide a ready, out-of-the-box meal for a US mainstream media machine who are forever gagging for a new world public enemy number one.
Uganda looks to have brokered an initial deal here as a US local partner in Africa, a relationship which was formalized following Uganda’s key role (allegedly) in battling Muslim extremists in Somalia. Whatever Uganda’s actual role was, their rewards have been substantial. Obama recently sent them around $45 million in military equipment, and this will certainly be topped up annually if Uganda continues to host US troops there.
From an AFRICOM standpoint, this latest deal with Uganda is a major step forward in militarily colonizing the continent. What Obama did not highlight in his announcement last week is that a small force is already present in Uganda, and that the new attachment of US special forces who are arriving shortly will be dispatched to perform various ops in the surrounding South Sudan, Somalia, Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Add to this an extensive laundry list of US State Department and ‘national security’ objectives, and you have a fully baked recipe for a permanent US military presence in Africa.
To achieve this, the US will also require numerous black ops, backed by a large supporting cast of CIA field workers, agents, US military administrators and paid contractors. This will enable the US, with all the elements necessary for the overthrow of any African country south of the Sahara desert.
If recent events in North Africa are any indication, the US will often back and support a military dictatorship, rather than allow for a country’s own self-determination. Egypt is the best example of this. After all the fanfare surround the Arab Spring, few have bothered to pay attention to who and what actually replaced Egypt’s overthrown regime there. Now Egypt’s ‘temporary’ military government does not want to relinquish the reins of power.
Not surprisingly, only one country refused to sign on to AFRICOM’s neocolonial charter. That country was Libya.
If you have any doubts as to what a country can expect if it falls foul of the America’s AFRICOM dictates, look no further than Libya and its leader Moummar Qaddafi. Following UN’s flimsy resolution 1973, Libya was pulverized by a full-blown NATO military air assault. Following the destruction of most of its cities and their infrastructures, Libya is currently in the process of being carved by selected US and European corporations. It’s doubtful that Libya will ever see half the stability or prosperity it had achieved under Qaddafi.
Libya was a hot run, and a subsequent Beta test on the part of NATO and AFRICOM. First on AFRICOM’s menu is UN sanctions, then arming a local faction and fomenting civil unrest, then regime change, followed by the privatization and auctioning off of any valuable state assets to US and European companies, and eventually – a long, hard session of neoliberal IMF economic shock therapy.
Note that the US military or NATO will always be on call if local rebels need their revolution advanced down field. If this process cannot be initiated via the UN, the US will also be very well-placed to run a clandestine operation anywhere on the continent.
In Uganda’s case, it may work as a reverse of NATO’s Libyan-style intervention, whereby US troops will crush, not assist Ugandan rebels rising up against a corrupt and despotic government.
On the very long-range end of the agenda will be to unify Africa into an EU-type superstate, the African Union, and with a single African currency. For Wall Street and the City of London, this is a relatively untapped opportunity to plunder, and then re-plunder a number of otherwise emerging growth economies.
Proponents of AFRICOM seem confident, and with good reason. The US has always been successful at achieving a high level of destabilization in any country it interacts with militarily. This special brand of “engineered chaos” then needs to be managed by a strong military presence in the region.
Globalist elites and transnational corporations could not be more thrilled- hundreds of no-bid contracts, opening up new markets, new monopolies, and extremely cheap labor for globalist industries… in Africa.
In terms of the global geopolitical chessboard, AFRICOM’s most significant objective for America and Europe will be to confront, minimize, sabotage, and where possible- completely destroy China’s economic interests in Africa. Evicting the Chinese from their hundreds of economic interests and political partnerships in Africa amounts to a new Cold War between the Anglo-American Empire and China.
Unfortunately for Africa, USA Inc has become one giant corporation, and certainly behaves like one. Its current CEO, Barack Obama, has one of the hardest hitting velvet gloves in history. He has already demonstrated that he can, and will, bomb a nation into compliance with the globalist plan to completely re-colonize and re-corporatize Africa, arguably the most resource-rich continent on the planet.
The process will take time, and will no doubt cost many billions of dollars, and thousands of innocent lives will be lost at the hands of CIA-sponsored civil and guerrilla wars. One AFRICOM study believes that China would eventually send its troops to Africa, to defend its economic interests there. The study warns:
“Now China has achieved a stage of economic development which requires endless supplies of African raw materials and has started to develop the capacity to exercise influence in most corners of the globe. The extrapolation of history predicts that distrust and uncertainty will inevitably lead the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to Africa in staggering number.”
AFRICOM, in its own words, is almost expecting a military confrontation with China over its interests in Africa, and with the new US practice of ‘pre-emptive foreign policy’, it serves as an almost perfect storm for a new not-so-cold war there.
China will not just react, as the US might do, if its interests and investment have been threatened in Africa. This is partly because unlike USA Inc, China is still a functioning nation-state and Chinese leaders are not being constantly pressured by its corporations to act over-aggressively to protect Chinese interests.
In the twilight days of every US administration, an American President is defined by his all-important legacy.
Whether Obama becomes either a one term or two term President- after it’s all said and done, he will be remembered as Kenya’s only begotten son, who sold out Africans to his globalist overlords- the man who eventually broke the back of Africa.
Ironic, as we still remember how much hope (remember that word) some people had of him, way, way back in 2008.
When the Occupy Wall Street movement pitched its tent up in New York in mid September, their singularity of purpose seemed to be tangible enough- including actual real world issues and problems like mega banks ripping off the population, lobbyist running the US government and a severely injured democratic system.
Occupy London LSX is due to kick off this weekend with its sights on the London Stock Exchange (LSX) at Paternoster Square. Similarly its agenda seems sensible thus far- banker bailouts at a time of austerity, a culture of taxation, a time of growing inequality and ridiculous unemployment.
Laura Taylor, a supporter of OccupyLSX, echoed what’s on most people’s minds: “Why are we paying for a crisis the banks caused? More than a million people have lost their jobs and tens of thousands of homes have been repossessed, while small businesses are struggling to survive. Yet bankers continue to make billions in profit and pay themselves enormous bonuses, even after we bailed them out with £850bn.”
So now that this global movement has gained some momentum and substantial recognition, it seems only fair that it makes room for other causes suffering from an attention deficit. If they do, they will need to hurry before the first snow falls on what looks to be the coldest winter in years. Yes, we’re talking here about the global warming and climate change crowd.
Climate change true believers in the IPCC's computer-modeled version of nature, are akin to Fundamentalist Christians who believe that the earth is only 7,000 years old.
‘Climate action’ group 350.org have managed to book a front row seat on the Occupy London bandwagon, thanks in part to having Naomi Klein on their board of directors.
Aside from Michael Moore, few will argue that famed anti-capitalist Naomi Klein is probably the most recognizable name in the anti-globalization, anti-corporate criminal crusades. Her books and films are ground-breaking.
But last week Klein issued anapocalyptic warning in New York stating, “What climate change means is that we have to do this on a deadline. This time our movement cannot get distracted, divided, burned out or swept away by events. This time we have to succeed. And I’m not talking about regulating the banks and increasing taxes on the rich, though that’s important.”
Klein added to her climate gospel, “I am talking about changing the underlying values that govern our society. That is hard to fit into a single media-friendly demand, and it’s also hard to figure out how to do it.”
Indeed, it’s very hard to figure out, especially if you have taken your vows to the IPCC’s official UN religion of global warming.
Unfortunately, 350.org and Naomi Klein’s mission is based on the same pseudo-science that ruined the reputations of both the UN labs at East Anglia University and Penn State. Yet, they really believe that “350 means climate safety.”
In the last four years, scores of once true climate believers have defected over to the common sense camp, once they realized the powerful forces who have been driving the multi trillion dollar carbon economy plan. Once they learned that the whole hoax originated at the Club of Rome – the ultra elitist organization that openly admit how it invented the global warming- as a means to manipulate the world to accept a world government, they would have distanced themselves from Al Gore’s fundamentalist camp.
350.org add here, “To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 392 parts per million to below 350 ppm. But 350 is more than a number—it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.”
Klein, like every other respected and knowledgeable professional who innocently dived head-first down the global warming rabbit hole, probably did so with the most sincere intentions. No one can doubt that Klein’s anti-pollution and anti-corporate looting work is exemplary.
But the intellectual obstacle that most climate change true believers struggle to overcome- Klein included, is separating the real issue of pollution (which most reasonable people do not want), from the contrived issue of CO2 heating the atmosphere- which has been proven over, and over to be an invention of a few well-paid, crafty scientists affiliated with the IPCC.
Just like the Titanic, most climate crusaders will not see the iceberg until long after their ship is sinking.
One of the challenges facing the ‘Global Occupy’ movement is a challenge which faces every movement in its infancy. Success is often dependent on the movement’s ability to focus on a core set of issues, and draw up a list of real demands. After that, the movement will want to see some results, and will use their people power as leverage until some of these demands are actually met, or until some of these problems are addressed by government and society. OWS has made some progress in this area, but as the movement is only a few weeks old, it’s clear they have a lot of ground to cover before they arrive at a manifesto.
The key is to identify real problems, which can be solved with real solutions- unlike man-made global warming and climate change, which are now proven to be not-so-real-world problems, and therefore do not have any real solutions.
If global warming/climate change is injected into the global occupy movement, it will be the equivalent of throwing a massive party and then spiking the bunch bowl with some hallucinogenic drug. There goes your focus, there goes your balance… and there goes your chance at reality.
It may be only a matter of days before the high priest of climate change himself, Al Gore, will peacock his way through Liberty Square, fawning for crowds on Wall Street in lower Manhattan, and later in London.
Dear Naomi Klein: Let’s pool our resources and try to tackle the real world problems first.
A disturbing new trend has quietly taken hold over simultaneous nationwide protests in the United States over the last few weeks.
Visible throughout the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protests, is a technique dubbed as “The People’s Microphone”. It has been deployed nationwide, and is fast becoming the dominant vehicle for group interaction and communication. So what is it?
Well-behaved crowds use call-and-repeat with a series of basic hand signals to protest the establishment
“New York City requires a permit to use “amplified sound.” Since Occupy Wall Street does not have a permit, police have interpreted that to mean even the use of an electric bullhorn. As a response to such limitations, a phenomenon known as the “People’s Microphone” has evolved, where a person making a speech pauses while the nearby members of the audience repeats the previous phrase (somewhat) in unison.” The entry adds, “The (People’s Microphone) effect has been called “comic or exhilarating – often all at once.” Some feel this provided a further unifying effect for the crowd.”
Advocates of this new method claim that it is a work-around to restrictive city ordinances, serving as a ‘progressive communication’ tool which allows groups to speak and achieve “community consensus”, where the audience is asked to listen in a whole new way and to actually help transmit the message to others. They will tell you that accuracy and transparency are crucial elements of the People’s Microphone.
NLP device: the ‘call-and-return’ and technique
OWS’s new People’s Microphone is quite simply a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) application or technique. Its consensus arrival method, also known as “call-and-return”, has now become the audio device of choice- spreading across the country as quickly as the protests themselves.
How it works: crowd participants slowly repeat each phrase the leading speaker is saying to them, with a series of hand signs used to provide the speaker and the group with feedback.
To the casual observer, this new system of communication may appear as compelling as it is metaphoric. It might also remind you of the infamous ‘pass the conch’ scene from the Nobel Prize-winning novel by William Golding, Lord of the Flies.
It is a very slow and tedious process, often resulting in very few actual issues being fleshed out. In most cases, it takes triple the amount of time to convey the same amount of information that a normal speaker would accomplish by talking directly to the audience. But ‘call-and-return’ can only be done when the group is forced to repeat the words of the lead speaker, so this speaker is forced to talk slowly, using fewer words at once. In this way, it is also an extremely mesmerizing and hypnotic group communication tool.
Such NLP methods can also be used to promote ‘group-think’ and would be described by some as collectivist mind control education at its very finest.
It’s common knowledge that successful NLP systems like this are commonly used in the military, by sales people in business, as well as in advertising, and of course in politics, always working in restricted blocs of words and with restricted vocabularies.
Group moderators insist that this is done so that ‘everybody is safe’, and that the group is ‘doing things properly’. Any interaction with a speaker can only be done by employing a series of parochial, child-like hand-signs, normally reserved for children attending school in K-8 grades.
Participants insist that by using this method they get a feeling of ‘being part of the community’, where group leaders will ask the crowd for a ‘temperature check’ in order to determine “How ‘the bloc’ feels about what someone has said”… and if what someone said is in consensus with “the bloc”. The audience will offer up a hand signal of waiving both hands to show their approval. Once a consensus is identified, it’s typical that members of “the bloc” will feel that they are part of the group collective, and thus, “part of the change”.
Unfortunately, in this type of system, most of the group have little idea of the meaning of what they are actually repeating, or who and what they are supporting with their consensus hand signals, waving their hands, or making a triangle sign to communicate.
In terms of social engineering a group-think, creating passive crowds, this OWS development is quite surprising, as more sophisticated or even passionate communication techniques would be expected from the ranks of educated, ‘socially aware’ protesters.

In the end, Occupy Atlanta organizers and the group became so enthralled with their People’s Microphone that Congressman and civil rights hero John Lewis was not allowed an opportunity to speak to ‘the collective’. The ‘process’ took forever, and eventually sent the Congressman packing, even though the majority of the crowd were interested in what the Congressman had to say. Dominant members of ‘the bloc’ ruled that the goals of the collective outweighed, and “are more important than any single human being”, as was stated by a speaker early in that video. This is how using NLP to bind a ‘collective’ group can easily engineer a false consensus.
Many Americans are completely unaware of how this very same device has been used throughout history to compartmentalize and marginalize the true will of people.
This NLP ‘call-and-repeat’ mechanism can no doubt be used to hypnotic effect. Often these type of techniques are used in order to filter out the free thinkers, where intense self-policing at its most stringent. Notice that when group members are disagreeing, their hands are much lower, but at their maximum when ‘the bloc’ seems to all be in agreement.
What these protestors are hardly aware of, is that they may be participating a form of modern day group-think. It is a form of social control whereby everyone in the group believes that they must all agree and must all be of the same mind. Armed with this powerful new tool, professional consensus promoters can be bussed into sites around the country, training groups to chant key group-think talking points using various mnemonic phrases.
The collectivist trap
The concept of ‘the collective’ or ‘the community’ is a power one when applied to activism. For this reason it allowed a number of radical regimes to sweep into power during the 20th century.
Participants in a collective truly believe in the process and that their process is very ‘democratic’, civilized, radical, effective, and thus, revolutionary.
But few within these groups are actually aware of the NLP concepts they have opted into, nor are they familiar with tried and tested mind-control methods, or the powerful political tool of collectivism. So it is not surprising that most will enthusiastically join in the group and religiously abide by its laws of conversation, following some scripted agenda instead of being spontaneous or truly radical.
The People’s Microphone can also lead a group to believe by using these hand signal votes they can create a law and enforce it. This can often result in an oxymoronic “totalitarian-consensus”, whereby a perceived consensus occurs, but in reality, a consensus was only reached because each member of the group was afraid to be ejected from ‘the collective’. This form of mob mentality can be dangerous because the leader of a group is leading the flock in his or her direction of choice, whilst still offering them the illusion it is ‘what everyone in the community wants’. In the classic film Dr Zhivago, scenes appear in which leading “intellectual” group-thinkers demolish the private property of others because, according to the collective, “they don’t deserve to own it”.
Taking this concept is taken to its extreme form, a mob or individual within the mob might willfully intimidate, or even physically assault a person, during which time the mob believe they are just watching what ‘the collective’ or ‘community’ wants to happen.
Hardly grass roots
It is already well documented that the original Occupy Wall Street protest was seeded by a collectivist George Soros funded foundation called Ad Busters, and allegedly supported by the shadowy agitator hacker group called Anonymous.
For the last decade, globalist foundations promoting democracy and freedom have been active in fomenting uprisings all over the planet, and fresh off their international successes they have finally come home to roost within the OWS movement.
But what is not as well documented is the involvement of the international CIA front organization called the Center for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies(CANVAS).This can be described as a kind of consultancy for would-be revolutionaries, an organization of professional agitators-for-hire who globe-trot, openly promoting their CFR-sponsored agenda- most notably in Egypt, where CANVAS trained and managed Egyptian protestors as early as 2009 in preparation for the fabled ‘Arab Spring’ in 2010-2011.
Their projects are clandestine, kept secret while in preparation, names of clients are not publically available, and are extremely well funded by American intelligence services. And yes, they are now active on US soil.
It is important that readers understand how CANVAS was created- from the Serbian political youth movement called OPTOR!(translated as ‘Resistance!), who’s initial project was the US-backed overthrow of the Slobodan Milosevic government in Yugoslavia in 2000.
OPTOR’s support and funding network reads like a who’s who of CIA and globalist front foundations, including well known CIA front organization USAID, George Soros’s collectivist front foundation Freedom House, and the National Endowment for Democracy whose operational successes include the Rose Revolution in Georgia, the Orange Revolution in Ukraine, and the Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan, each heavily financed and backed by groups funded by or connected to the U.S. government. Likewise, events in Tunisia, North Africa and Egypt were orchestrated out of the finest detail, and it seems that events surrounding the OWS movement are no different.
Key operatives in OPTOR!, and later for CANVAS are Serbians Ivan Marovic and Srdja Popovic. After the fall of Milosovec, the western media hailed Marovic as a democratic genius, but it came out later that his entire program came out of an elite Boston think tank’s ‘regime change’ manual, From Dictatorship to Democracy, written by a Harvard Professor Gene Sharp.

Some of the CANVAS professionally developed ‘subversive’ revolutionary methods are outlined in the incredible documentary film The Revolution Business, where paid facilitators are employed to train protesters, acting as a guide through the process which also includes communication techniques and the circulation of media talking points.
Mind control and the dumbing-down of America

These NLP techniques have taken hold quickly across OWS events and are techniques that have been previously implemented throughout the America’s public education systems and also present in popular children’s programming.
Typically, participants in a mind-control exercise engage in group-think, not unlike the participants shown in these videos. Members of the group will also get an endorphin rush similar to what one might receive during an evangelical church performance, or even at hip-hop concert, where the MC shouts, “now wave your hands in the air, and wave ‘em like you just don’t care.”
Charlotte Iserbyt was a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education, where she blew the whistle on a major technology initiative which would control curriculum in America’s classrooms shown in the documentary film, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America.
Most Americans participating in OWS have come through the state education system, whose chief objective, according to Charlotte Iserbyt, is teaching groups, and thus individuals… to be obedient.
The dominant message which is now coming out of the OWS protests across the US appears to be the collectivist idea of an unequal distribution of wealth in the United States, which looks a lot like any social engineer’s blueprint for a 21st century Bolshevik Revolution in America, and it is playing out right before our eyes as the millions of young, disaffected Americans search for simple collectivist answers to society’s many complex ills.
One can certainly argue here, that the dumbing-down of America would serve such an agenda.
Establishing fear in a police state
Notice that we already have “free speech zones” in the US, while prospective protesters in the UK must apply with the city police for a ‘public license to demonstrate’.
Aside from the incessant need by most young Americans to be led by a lone, some singular voice, the underlying social engineering tool which has enabled the intellectual and sovereign castration of Americans, is quite simply… the fear of being arrested.
One singular thing that a decade of free speech zones, homeland security, surveillance and a comprehensive dismantling of the Bill of Rights(equally under both Bush and Obama) has achieved – is just that – a constant fear of a shadowy police state. Without this underlying fear, the repressive Soviet-style group-think scenes we see in these video could never have been possible.
The whole existence of ThePeople’s Microphone is down to the fact that NYC police have imposed draconian measures like banning megaphones. As far as requiring a license to protest in public, not using a PA system in public, or restricting filming in a public space, true patriots and believers in a free society should not seek ‘permits’ for anything, nor should they respect ‘prohibitions’ on a citizen’s right to free speech and assembly.
Notice that not all cities in the USA prohibit bull-horning or amplified speakers, yet, American activists have still voluntarily defaulted back to the collectivist NLP method, The People’s Microphone, initially unveiled at OWS in NYC.
More than anything, these videos of mindless call-and-repeat chanting show the deep problems any true freedom movement must overcome in reaching ‘the 99%’ in America.
Where it’s heading
From its onset, many writers and pundits within the independent media and freedom movement threw their support behind OWS, with the sincere hope it focused on the deeper, fundamental globalist control issues- like restoring the Constitution, the need for smaller government, the creation and counterfeiting our currency through the Federal Reserve System, causing the inflationary boom and bust cycles that have been periodically culling the world’s upwardly mobile working and middle classes. Instead, the focus of both protesters and media has drifted towards system actors like corporations, CEO’s, bankers and politicians, rather than addressing the very system itself.
If you take into account the level by which the Occupy Wall Street movement has already been co-opted by the ‘progressives’ and the Democratic Party, and endorsed whole-heartedly by staunch globalists within the US power-structure like Ben Bernanke, President Obama and Nancy Pelosi, this writer believes strongly that OWS will likely morph into a permanent left wing counter-weight to the now Republican co-opted Tea Party movement.
The movement may appear to be growing organically, but as we saw with Ron Paul’s initial Tea Party spark back in 2007, once a movement’s political gravity reached a certain stage, the establishment will have already deployed its professional agitators, political operatives and mainstream media gate keepers in order to control its motion and shepherd its evolution. This was as true back in 1968 as it is in 2011. Already, the mainstream media have injected the talking point which most Americans are already parroting, that is: “America’s Occupy Movement is the Democrats’ equivalent to the Tea Party”.
What these movements do is function as an easy access, pressure-release valve for the controlled Left and Right wings. Both parties in the US have become too rigid, offering little to a 21st century society that is now information-rich, but still insight poor, and generally cater to the lowest common social denominator. With unemployment and debts high, and opportunities sparse, the simplified message of collectivism championed by OWS celebrity filmmaker Michael Moore, will certain hold an attractive appeal to many Americans who are unfamiliar with collectivism’s well documented past horrors.
Soon, the Occupy London movement will begin in the UK. Based on recent trends in the US, this writer will also strongly predict that OWS’s British counterpart will quickly morph into anti-Tory government, pro-socialist, climate change/green movement, not least because the majority of protesters in the UK will be among the ranks of the unemployed, indebted students, and chronic state benefit recipients- a fact which almost guarantees their loyal support of the UK’s social entitlement control-grid, as well as memberships to the ultra collectivist EU and UN supra-national organizations.
In times of economic strife, populations are easily lured into the simple, Marxist ideological trap of collectivism. Under these conditions, most participants in the OWS movement would be completely unaware that an organization like CANVAS or Freedom House is directing and steering their new ‘grassroots’ conversation.
To avoid the collectivist trap, participants in OWS events all across the US must first learn to read between the lines, or they may unwittingly become party to something completely different to what they thought they had signed up for in the first place.
21st Century Wire Editor Patrick Henningsen reports on RT on the destabilization in Libya
Russia Today Reports: Libya’s interim leaders claim they will not stay in power once the last Gaddafi strongholds are defeated. But Patrick Henningsen, a managing editor of the 21st Century Wire news site, believes that the interim government will stay on long after that.
“To have an indication of what the future is going to look like, all you have to do is look over to Egypt,” he said. “The military government is still in power, and will be in power for some time.”
Nevertheless, Henningsen says there is a huge power struggle within the Transitional National Council.
“These rebels are basically fighting for whatever piece of the pie they can get,” he said. “They do not know for how long they are going to be in power. So they are trying to solidify their own personal interests, while they have not even won the war yet.”
NATO has vowed not to end operations in Libya until civilians are no longer in danger. With thousands fleeing Sirte and Bani Walid because of shelling and water shortages, Henningsen believes the operation will continue until Gaddafi’s last strongholds are emptied of civilians and razed to the ground.
“What they are doing with Sirte is much like it was with Fallujah [in Iraq] – they are trying to empty the city, so that there is only a military presence left, now ‘insurgent’ presence,” he said. “And then they are going to carpet bomb it or just shell it for a week or two, until there is nothing left but a pile of dust.”
Henningsen argued that for now, the West’s main idea seems to be: “It is not stable yet [in Libya]. When stability comes, we will give you democracy.”
But Libya has little chance of growing into a full democratic state, Henningsen says, because the “seeds” planted by NATO’s support for the rebels were not exactly democratic.
“Essentially, NATO has given air cover and military cover to a rebel faction that was not chosen or elected by the people,” he said. “They don’t have a mandate. What we will have, I think, is protracted power struggle, a tribal backlash which is going to occur in Libya as a result of this war.”
He believes that the West is just carving up Libya, and the only stability it is really interested in is if it is stable enough for Western companies to come in and sign profitable contracts.
If you are a seasoned boxing fan, it’s easy to tell when a boxer is fighting out of his weight division. He looks bloated and puffy, mostly from over-hydration and a taper in training. But most of all, the fighter is obviously punching well above his genuine weight.
Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron, who was described by the US President Barrack Obama as “a lightweight” in that infamous Wikileaks cable last year- is such a boxer – bloated, puffy and clearly out of his league. Now that’s a US lightweight calling a Brit a lightweight, which would really make that Brit afeatherweight.
David is not bothered. With his flabby Tory/Lib-Dem Coalition mandate falling apart at home, Cameron is trying to seize the day overseas, fresh off Britain’s little VJ Day field trip to Libya.
Cameron’s big media slot was yesterday at the UN in New York City, where he spouted to world leaders about how we need to, ‘be prepared to intervene again when civilians are massacred by repressive regimes’.

David’s message regarding Libya is that we should really be “quicker” to take military action to stop the slaughter of innocents.
No mention here of the thousands of Libyans who have been killed by NATO bombings and many thousands who were openly slaughtered or ethnically cleansed by NATO’s local partners, the al-Qaida aka “Rebel” fighters, whom they have hired to help dislodge Libyan leader Gaffafi from power.
But Cameron would not trade this experience for the world. He has gotten some actual ‘statesman’ mileage out of Libya (at least in terms of invitations to Berlusconi’s parties etc) so far, and remember last week when he was hailed by tiny staged crowds Tripoli, reassuring them that their country ‘chose the path to freedom’.
“This revolution truly belongs to the Libyan people. The United Nations played a vital role authorising international action. But let’s be clear, the United Nations is no more effective than the nation states that come together to enforce its will.
“On this occasion a coalition of nations across the Western and Arab world had the will to act. In so doing, they stopped Benghazi from joining Srebrenica and Rwanda in history’s painful roll call of massacres the world failed to prevent.”
The truth, of course, is something else altogether.
The rape of Libya was quite possibly the most bold smash-and-grab crime in modern history.
It was even more bold than the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, following the whole “WMD thing”. The US-NATO looting of the sovereign state of Libya was worse because they didn’t even bother to come up with a big lie- like a suitcase nuke, or a WMD. They simply openly joined in under a UN banner, and supported one side militarily in an internal civil war, under the lightweight banner of “humanitarian intervention” via “kinetic actions”.
Western corporations were already beginning to carve up Libya’s assets as far back as March 2011, in the early days of the civil war. Now we have David Cameron running around Manhattan trying to promote this template for a criminal enterprise. Of course, this little war will spill over into other parts of Africa such as Sudan, Egypt, Chad, Niger and Mali, where the UN can send in the blue helmets.
But the facts cannot hide that while David Cameron is at the UN doing the job of Washington and NATO’s little PR girl (like Tony Blair did loyally in 2003), no amount of lies can hide forever what Libya really is- a complete disaster in the making. There is panic at the UN, because the UN knows that it is in grave danger of losing its nerve after being used by the US-NATO-Israeli Axis for this particular criminal campaign.
If there is any justice in the world, one would hope that Cameron, Nicolas Sarkozy and rest of the little European looters in Libya will be dragged into court for crimes against humanity, not least because that’s what they truly deserve.
That ‘special relationship’
Wikileaks jibes aside, Cameron now enjoys a good relationship with Mr Obama. Yes, it’s a return to that “special relationship” enjoyed by the US and Britain for so many years, made famous by those photo shoots at the Crawford Dude Ranch where George W. Bush and Tony Blair sported big belt buckles and pristine Stetsons.
Indeed, Barrack and David can now have cordial discussions about each other’s wives, and perhaps play a round of golf at St Andrews.
But the timing of Cameron’s little jolly in NYC says volumes about the new ‘special relationship’.
The real reason David Cameron is doing this UN junket this week is mainly because he will also be weighing in on Palestine, reminding us, on one hand, that their national aspirations are part of the fabled “Arab Spring”, and on the other hand, that Palestine should forget about statehood.
David will give Abbas a little nudge from England too. ‘No, that’s not the plan right now, Mr Abbas’. No, the proper aspiration is to put that idea of statehood aside for the moment, and opt instead for more, extended, somewhat protracted “peaceful negotiations” with Israel. Yes, it is a much better thing indeed.
He has made clear Britain’s disfavour with Mahmoud Abbas’s desire to make a declaration of statehood at the UN this week. We now know, because Uncle Barrack has told us, that Palestinian Statehood will not happen this year.
Cameron says that it’s a much better thing for Palestine to pursue diplomacy, “sit down and talk to each other, make compromises, build trust and agree”.
Yes, David. It would’ve been interesting to have tried to use that technique in Libya.
It’s one thing when imperial bureaucrats in Washington call for ‘regime change’, but it’s quite another thing when the rallying cry is coming from US-installed puppet regime.
In this case, we’re talking about the now fully domesticated US-puppet government of Nuri Kamal al-Maliki in Iraq, who is now calling for a regime change in its neighboring embattled country Syria. You would think that of all people, the Iraqis would not want to wish a US-sponsored sectarian free-for-all on their worst enemy, or neighbor. But think again.
In terms of Washington’s ambitions for a full spectrum domination of the Middle East grand chessboard, Syria occupies the prime location, sharing borders with Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and of course, the most important fence in the yard- Israel. But out of all these surrounding territories, the border it shares with the US-occupied Iraq is the only border that offers Washington direct access to Syria.

As for maintaining the illusion of international diplomacy and utilizing the UN, Washington will certainly need to exploit any political cover it can gain from its compliant, well-trained and well paid puppets in Baghdad.
Syria is being set up to fail, and there are many reasons for this. Syria constitutes one of the last(if not the last) independent secular states in the entire Arab world. Politically, it’s dominated by the Baath party and the Baath organizational structure, and it remains fiercely independent, anti-Imperialist and populist. But most of all, it is on Washington’s chopping block because it is closely allied with Iran, and it naturally supports the 70 year struggle of the Palestinian people against Israeli occupation.
For years, Syria has made serious efforts to cooperate with Washington regarding the Iraqi border, particularly in terms of halting the operations of terrorists, their arms and finance, and on intelligence sharing. But recently Syria has run into a diplomatic stone wall with Washington and London, and it is now an open secret that Washington and the global elite establishment would like to see Syria fall, as the next domino to make way for their complete restructuring of the Middle Eastern region.
Only last month, the elite globalist think tank, The Council on Foreign Relation (CFR) announced its desire for “regime change in Syria”, a call which will in turn, be loyally heeded by Washington’s imperial bureaucratic elite, presently led by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. A clearer indication you will not get as to plans that have already been drawn up to both bring down, and later restructure that country.
The formula which has worked so well already in Libya, will most likely also be deployed against Syria, whereby the US-NATO alliance and its agencies will trigger internal social chaos, and any reaction by the Syrian government against this will be used to discredit the Syrian government of Bashar Al Assad and make way for a laundry list of UN-related “interventions”.
“Since the middle of March 2011, Islamist armed groups covertly supported by Western and Israeli intelligence have conducted terrorist attacks on government buildings and acts of arson.
Amply documented, trained gunmen and snipers have targeted the police, the armed forces as well as unarmed civilians.
The objective of this armed insurrection is to trigger the response of the police and armed forces, including the deployment of tanks and armored vehicles with a view to eventually justifying a “humanitarian” military intervention, under NATO’s “responsibility to protect” mandate.”
So it’s no surprise to hear the war drum now beating out of Baghdad, whose country will most certainly become a major staging ground when US-NATO military hostilities eventually begin against Syria.
A recent New York Times report has confirmed this, with Maliki’s adviser, Ali al-Moussawi stating yesterday, “We believe that the Syrian people should have more freedom and have the right to experience democracy”. Al-Moussawi added, “We are against the one-party rule and the dictatorship that hasn’t allowed for the freedom of expression.”
A moral crusade no less. So now the puppet regime in Iraq is in lock-step with the CFR and Washington.

On the other side of the coin is Iran. Recently Iran had asked Syria’s leader Assad to support Mr. Maliki for another term as prime minister, and so relations between Iraq and Syria have been healthy. But that looks to be a thing of the past as the US-NATO timetable for the region is requiring thing to move along.
The New York Times report also mentioned a key point which should give clarity to any doubters of the US-NATO actual intentions in Syria, stating:
“Mr. Moussawi said Tuesday that the Iraqi government was concerned that if Mr. Assad’s government collapses, violence will spill over the border and further destabilize Iraq, which is still dealing with violent attacks nearly every day.”
The key word there is “destabilization”, and that is exactly what the master planners have in mind in the coming months and years. The process begins with the decapitation of Syria, followed by destabilization.
Only through a policy of destabilization and sectarian strife can the US and its allies maintain any form of long-term military presence and full-spectrum domination over the entire region, also enabling it to continue to launder hundreds of billions of US greenbacks overseas, an effort which is helping to prop up the value of America’s flagging currency.
If you have any doubts to the power and effectiveness of this policy, just ask the puppet government in Baghdad.
You can always gauge the level of desperation in a political movement by its inability to maintain a coherent message. This usually happens when the reality visible in the world runs contrary to the reality being professed from their pulpit.
In the final days of Nazi Germany, elite officers were all huddled in their Berlin bunker, eating foie gras and drinking champagne, as the Red Army closed in on their capital. Even in the 11th hour, Hitler was convinced that the righteous armies of the Fatherland would regroup and stem the Soviet tide. After all, Germany had achieved so much in such a short time, and they had no reason to think that their epic revolution of “National Socialism” would not succeed.
It seems now that, in the face of more and more record-breaking winters, increased polar ice cover and an endless string of academic scandals, that Al Gore and the global warming/climate change movement are having their own Berlin bunker moment.
Having watched Gore’s recent 24 Hours of Realityinternet media show this past week, I could see that very same level of desperation present in all of the day’s presentations. I saw a level of incoherence not seen before in the climate change crusade. I saw a faith-based movement clearly facing a rapidly unraveling ideology. Even traditional global warming activists have been wary of having anything to do with Gore’s telethon, where presenter upon presenter attempted in vain to cherry pick any extreme region weather event on the globe and connect it to man-made global warming.

One of the more disturbing thrusts of the presentations streamed that day was a rallying call for academics and education professionals to do a better job in delivering their message of man-made global warming and climate Armageddon… to young children. In other words, there appeared to be a need to indoctrinate kids at a young age if the movement is to survive. Presenters were quite vocal about their disdain for “deniers”, upset about the scourge of intelligent adult skepticism. One presenter even called on children to ‘put pressure on their parents to be more responsible’. One last propaganda blitz before the fall.
I could not help but feel here that global warmists must be feeling as Joseph Goebbels did, faced with the horror of his dream of a Utopian Reich disintegrating before his eyes, a man whose final move was a campaign to mobilize children, getting the kids to man gun posts in hopes of repelling the inevitable Soviet advance towards ground zero. When educated adults are finally coming to their senses, gathering enough courage to go and look outside, and determine for themselves that the sky is not falling, then it is perhaps the most cynical and ruthless area of exploitation for a fundamentalist movement to target the innocent minds of young children to do their bidding.
A real dose of reality is on the way however, one not apparent in Al Gore’s media montage. If you live in the Northern hemisphere, you can expect record-breaking cold spells this winter, including early blizzards… and a string of sub zero temperature events.
In past years the UK’s official weather forecaster, the Met Office, has come under heavy fire from critics having failed to predict with any level of accuracy a succession of record-breaking freezes in their country. As a result, municipalities failed to stock up on grit for the roads, allocate money for snow ploughs and other key provisions. This had dire consequences- a number of deaths last winter in the UK were related to unforeseen weather conditions. This year appears to be different as weather experts, in a bid to salvage their credibility and distance themselves from the likes of the IPCC’s failing projections and scandals like Climategate, for the first time in years are sounding the cold alarm.
As a recent Daily Mail report explains, forecasters are warning that Britain is about to experience an early winter, with snow expected to arrive as soon as next month. The Met Office now admits that we can expect cold temperatures as early as October, and Weather Services International agrees, saying that in October, November and December we will be hit with temperatures approximately two degrees lower than the average.
James Madden of Exacta Weather also agrees, “I expect to see the first signs of some moderate to heavy snowfalls as early as October or November in certain parts of the UK. Huge swirly low-pressure systems also offer the potential for widespread disruption from heavy snowfall across many parts of the UK including the South, as they clash with the predominant cold air.” Madden also added that Scotland and the North would face the worst weather, including possible ‘blizzard-like conditions’ brought on by snow from the Arctic for prolonged periods.
Another vocal opponent of Al Gore and the climatist fundamentalist movement is Weather Action, a UK-based long range weather forecaster led by scientist Piers Corbyn. Weather Action has also issued a stark warning that four major storms are coming in the next 6 weeks and that it is very important that emergency services are aware of what is over the horizon. The organization has worked out, with about 80% accuracy, what are the real factors that drive climate on this planet, namely, a combination of solar activity, lunar cycles and changes in the earth’s magnetic fields.
Weather Action has also identified that cold weather can have disastrous consequences for agricultural production if farmers are not prepared. For instance, in the production of Maize, frosts forecasts means the crop should be planted late, and those who planted early lost out. In Dairy production, a cold spring forecast means that grass would be late so it would be worth spending on fertilizer.
Weather Action’s calculations and forecasts are based on the use of mathematics and physics, unlike the IPCC’s elite group of ‘climate scientists’ who have been basing their apocalyptic predictions of the future on a collection of rigged computer-modeled projections. Herrs Gore, Strong, Hansen, Mann and Jones relied on these sacred computer-modeled climate mock-ups to get their initial gravy train going, and it worked. Now the wheels are beginning to come off that gravy train.
As global temperatures have declined since 1998, one can only deduce that the alarmist tone of Al Gore’s self-styled “scientific consensus” has already been discredited, and people and their governments around this planet should move back on track with reality as soon as possible.
The most bizarre turn of green ideology is that many top climate zealots have been claiming“that global cooling is caused by global warming”. It’s a rather bizarre idea that has been successfully implanted into the minds of a faithful flock, but it is quite obviously the death pangs of a flock who have lost their way.
In this twisted zone of eco-spin, millions could perish from famine or a spike in food prices brought on by early frosts, and elderly residents might die trapped in their homes without sufficient heat, and yet, climate fantasists will tell you that this is all down to man-made global warming, in much the same way that Pat Robertson told us that Hurricane Katrina and and the Haiti earthquake were brought on by God’s vengeance for those peoples’ sins. Climate fundamentalists, whether they are cognisant of this or not, are operating on the same level of misdirection as Pat Robertson.
Still there are millions of dollars a day around the globe being spent researching quack Victorian science fiction ideas as ridiculous as a man-made simulated volcano in England, or a giant cold blanket to cover Greenland’s glaciers.
The longer mainstream society entertains the sort of intellectual indulgence that the Man-Made Global Warming movement is offering out, the more valuable time and money we continue to waste on an ideology that was actually never based on real science- or hard facts. The whole ideology fusing man-made global warming and an illusion of climate crisis was always based on one main element- fear, followed by a powerful politically correct idea of collective guilt. These were deployed against populations in order to achieve the end goal, which was the collectivization and control of society through various legal and economic instruments like carbon emissions trading, an expensive process which will ultimately end in a redistribution of society’s wealth upwards.
Meanwhile, after 10 years and hundreds of billions in precious public and private money spent on an ideological crusade to save the planet from a nemesis that never existed, real environmental threats have gained ground on mankind. The consolidation of genetically modified food production, the introduction of cross-breed chimera species into our ecosystem, the continual dumping of toxic waste and chemicals into our oceans and water supplies, known carcinogens being spread via popular consumer products and the mass release of radioactive pollution through a series industrial incidents- all of which actually threaten mankind’s place and progeny on the planet, and still we see little progress made in pushing them back to truly safe levels.
In the end, Gore’s “24 hours of Reality” only reinforced my belief that there is no “climate crisis”- therefore we should do nothing to solve it, let alone fight it. Still, his CEO and President for the media event, Maggie Fox, implores her troops to soldier on. “It is up to you to continue to stand up for reality and share the truth about the climate crisis. We will succeed because we must.”
That sounds a lot like Goebbels and Co down in that Berlin bunker.
The science known as “geo-engineering”, or “terra-forming” sits right over on the extreme end of climate change activist agendas. Many call it dangerous, as it unnecessarily interferes with our planet’s delicate ecosystems, but climate zealots are still of the belief that it’s these sort of quacky measures that could “save the planet” from the 21st century’s most hideous mythological enemy, man-made global warming.
Over the last 10 years, climatists have put forward some glorious, albeit shocking proposals to “fight global warming and climate change”. Among their ideas includes a giant blanket to cover Greenland’s glaciers in order to keep them from melting, giant umbrellas in space to shield us from the sun’s rays, and of course, the bizarre invention of “cap and trade” and the failed carbon market.
Their latest idea is no less extraordinary, and is certainly up there with the wackiest of desperate Victorian inventions ever concocted. Believe it or not, scientists and engineers plan to test their latest “geoengineering” idea in Norfolk, England next month by launching a helium-filled blimp, tethered by a 1 km long hosepipe which will spray mist into the air. By doing this, they are hoping to cool the climate with what they describe as a “simulated volcanic eruption”.
According to a recent report in The Independent, “The project is one of the first geoengineering field trials in the world and could result in the deployment of a fleet of up to 20 giant balloons, each the size of Wembley Stadium, injecting millions of tonnes of sulphate particles at a height of 20km into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight back into space.”
Engineer Hugh Hunt goes on to describe the invention, “This hose would be just like a garden hose, 20km long and we pump stuff up the pipe. The nice thing about it is that we can really have a knob, if you like, which we can control to adjust the rate at which we inject these particles.”
To develop this particular “big green idea”, the group from Bristol University have managed to con the government out of a cool $2.5 million in research grants from the public purse. Their research is paid for by the government’s own Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. As public funds for housing, education, and community support are currently being cut across the board, it is perhaps even more shocking that the governments in Europe and North America continue to throw their finite budgets at what amount to no more than quack-green Victorian science projects.
The year 2011 has without a doubt, been the worst year so far for the man-made global warming effort. Scandal after scandal, resignation after resignation, have successively shaken the climatist/warmist movements from the secure perch they enjoyed back in 2007.
Still though, the movement is pushing forward in a last ditch, propaganda Tet Offensive, through Al Gore’s latest green media circus show entitled “24hrs of Reality”, desperately trying to push the old, fatally flawed, and misleading tenets like the planet is heating up, and‘the science is settled’. But above all, we are meant to believe that “every country is in agreement” that man-made CO2 is causing the earth’s temperature to rise, threatening life as we know it. Yes, he still wants you to believe that it’s a global consensus.
Aside from the dodgy science and the crooked academic practices, one of its main handicaps is that it just never made any economic sense.
The liberal utopian mantra of ‘green jobs for everyone’- which was also Obama’s famous campaign plank in 2008, aka the ‘green economy’, was nothing more than a political pipe dream designed to garner public support from those sympathetic to Al Gore’s sermon of global doom at the time, much in the same way that his predecessor, George W. Bush, successfully created a similar mythology- ‘the war on terror’, in order to own public support of any and all policies related to security and military largess.
Rather sadly, Al Gore’s fabled vision, the Green City on the Hill, is rightly buckling under the weight of its own blind, state subsidies and market realities. Only last week, after managing to claw a hefty half billion dollars out of the US Federal government in the form of guaranteed stimulus handouts, Obama and Biden’s number one green pet, solar energy firm Solyndra, was put down for good, via Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A bigger slap in the face one could not get.
Still, however, mainstream media gatekeepers continue their vain attempt to keep the popular modern mythology of anthropogenic global warming and its sister, climate change, as alive as possible. There is still an industry in the alarmist movement, and as long as states and institutions are still handing out billions of dollars per annum in research grants, then I’m afraid we will still have to see some of the wacky scenarios like Bristol University’s 1km hosepipe cum-volcano… for some time to come.
Soon, very soon, politicians will no longer be able to use scientists as scapegoats, as in “it’s not our fault, they told us CO2 was heating up the planet”. When that time arrives, then the climate alarmist political agenda will have died a certain death. That time is nigh.
Ceremonies in the USA, Europe and in other regions and countries where 9/11 business is taken seriously have, with time, shifted focus. The annual show of gravitas and determination to fight and win the War on Terror, cranked up on back of the New York and Washington attacks of September 2001, has a new objective: deflecting, parrying and diluting a scary future.
FESTIVAL OF WAR
Trends forecasters will all tell you that future looks bad and the economy looks even worse. But George W. Bush and Barack Obama still stand together, united to fight evil, with a show of force at Ground Zero. As anyone can guess, putting white ribbons in the hair of US schoolchildren is more newsworthy(and cheaper) than treating cancer victims from the tens of thousands of tons of asbestos, insecticides and dioxin that spewed out as the Twin Towers, and building WTC 7(untouched by any airplane) dramatically crashed to the ground in seconds.
Public solidarity and national pride are important at this dangerous time, hence, 9/11 festivities have been internationalized with an attempt being made- like attempts in Europe and Japan, to import the US Halloween-style festival and to capitalize on its commercial spin-offs. For the 9/11 ‘festival of hope’, the goal is justifying the military invasions and occupations of both Afghanistan and Iraq. This new war festival however generates nothing in revenues and costs vast sums of public cash on an unwinnable war – an exact remake of the Soviet Union’s lost war in Afghanistan – proving that other people can be just as stupid as the Soviets.
Never mind the blowback of pure hatred against the west that the 9/11 farce generates right across the Muslim world and south Asia. What counts is the official, reassuring and idiot-friendly version of “what really happened” in New York and Washington in Sept 2001. This is now a mass market comfort theme, belted out by all mainstream media and is a precious link with a receding and different past.
FEAR OF THE FUTURE
In September 2011 the US political, corporate and media elites and their European fellow travellers- call them running dogs or yippy poodles, have saturated world media with all-day-long special reports on the Atrocity of the Century. Time is also shrewdly allocated for marginalizing skeptics, or “truthers”. Shame on you, if you don’t believe.
The real focus has changed however:
9/11 is now a strange mixture of alternate reality and new religion.
9/11 is now the official way to forget the present and future of debts, deficits, unemployment and economic crises – if only for an excruciatingly long weekend.
9/11's ten year anniversary has morphed into a morbid "festival of war" for the US and the world.
For the American economy – and most other developed economies, from the European Union to Japan – the real crisis is the amount of money paid to commercial bankers and insurers over the last four years. What happened to it? Will Greece collapse, taking Europe’s banks with it, like a collapsing Twin Tower as the fires of its sovereign debt light the higher floors of the Tower of Doom?
For American banks, filings to the US Securities and Exchange Commission show that the bailout sums handed to them by G W Bush and Barry Obama now stands, in September 2011, at an astounding $2 200 billion, or $2.2 trillion, racked up in a little more than 4 years. European commercial banks have received less well-defined, better hidden bailouts from public funds, but likely amounts to September 2011 are probably $ 1.75 trillion; Japan’s ruined banks have received more than $ 750 billion.
Still, all the banks will require more, a lot more. This is because, like the 9/11 fantasy, the show has to go on. The serial rout of banks and their related and dependent insurance companies, brokers and investment houses will continue. Extrapolating over the coming decade and only for the USA, the total amounts to be taken by the financial sector, led by the banks, will approach over $5 trillion.
Yet, no European, Japanese or American political decider, either in power or in opposition, so terribly and publicly concerned about 9/11 once a year, shows any sign of being willing to cut future debt-driven bailouts for private banks. This will inevitably produce further and deeper government deficits.
This stubborn refusal to face reality can be compared with the child-like official belief the Twin Towers and WTC 7 fell down almost instantly due to burning jet fuel and “all by themselves”. Ignoring reality and denying the future, the critical banking crisis is also another whipped-dog attempt to not admit failure and muddle through another day. Doing this, increasingly surely, the ultimate economic catastrophe becomes possible: the collapse of all world moneys, the complete implosion of the global economy. Real war would almost certainly follow – not playacting with bearded hermits in Afghan caves and drone attacks on Yemenite brigands, Pakistani goatherders and bandits – but even the playact War on Terror does not come cheap.
WAR AND DEBT
For the USA, the ultimate big spender on supposedly small surgical conflicts and humanitarian interventions “over the horizon”, the amounts spent are relatively well known: probable US war spending in the 10 years since 2001 totals between $ 2.2 and $ 2.8 trillion – much less than the banks have been able to siphon, in the last 3 years.
The ugly truth of this matter is that none of this cash can be invested in protecting US jobs, building roads, schools, factories, hospitals, offices, public transport or any other long-term projects. Public cash is showered on the financial, defense sectors, and overseas contracts creating a few high cost jobs but in general this money is directly transferred from spending in the real economy, to the shadow economy of bank executives, employees and shareholders, off-shore holding companies and our clean fingernailed Indiana Jones heroes killing villagers and rendering taxi drivers somewhere over the horizon.
While the bank executives come out as big winners, this is not at all the case for bank employees faced with recurring and massive redundancy programs, nor for bank shareholders, or the average grunt soldier. Real bank and finance sector share values in the USA, Europe and Japan are again in free fall, tumbling in unison, by 33 percent to more than 65 percent in the 5 weeks from August 1st, 2011 to the present.
More transfers – politely called “bank recapitalization” – will soon be needed. These transfers represent a cunning tax on everyone else, whether private citizen and consumers or economically active entities.
Most incredibly, these are rich rewards for those “players” who helped cause, and then intensify today’s financial and economic troubles that affect all countries of the developed world. This tiny percentage (well below 5 percent) of all persons and all economic entities in the affected countries is the only class that is not suffering from the crisis they have caused – and in many cases the perpetrators of the crime are massively benefiting from the aggravation of the global crisis.
Their operating mode and methods can seem puzzling in many respects. Combining some aspects of classic and crude Ponzi chain letter scams, with large and sophisticated compensation schemes for their partners (notably in the insurance sector), masking the risks of supposedly low-probability, high-impact “Black Swan” events with complex multi-stage financial instruments, these inveterate but losing gamblers have only one backstop.
At all times they count on implicit public guarantees. When things get worse, they ask for more.
The military and security services, whether the US Army or the new Afghan Army supposedly loyal to Hamid Karzai, whether the USA’s FBI and CIA or France’s DGSE and the UK’s MI5 and MI6 are all similar in the dependence on the public purse. When things get worse – they also ask for more. Using the financial analogy of leverage rather than skills, of pouring oil on fires already burning, then demanding public money to quench the fires and calm the rout, the defence and security establishment has only mimicked the blackmailing scam of failed financial gamblers.
RISK AND REWARD
As we know, the corporate kleptocracy which operates the world’s biggest banks and insurance companies has a simple strategy: privatize the profits and offload the losses to anybody else, meaning governments and taxpayers. Simply because of this, all central banks and monetary authorities have no choice at all but to keep interest rates at artificially low levels. Both publicly, and secretly they give loans at extreme low rates of interest to the banks, like obedient poodles.
The defense and security mafias, establishment or sector operates a strategy of self preservation and profiteering that is also simple. Without war, it cannot continue to grow, but war is no longer possible with new, potential, and very dangerous enemies such as China and India, and other large well-armed nations – able to hit back devastatingly hard. War must now be targeted at small countries with small armies – and of course no nuclear weapons. The search for enemies is also brought back home, inside the home countries of this evil doctrine, creating the police state at war with its own population.
Since 2001, the search for, and manufacture of new enemies has been crowned with success. The reward for the defence and security elites is immense: although well behind the grab made by the banking elites, the equivalent of around $2.5 trillion dollars has been spent by the US alone in a single decade on fantasist and unreal enemies, without ever facing any armed forces able to hit back with deadly force. What could be more courageous and progressive?
For the banking and financial mafia, like the defense and security establishment, the risk of massive or total loss was always hidden, always denied. But with another hollow celebration of the 9/11 farce, and another intensification of the European and US banking and debt crises, the potential for total loss on all fronts rises, yet again. For private bankers and insurers, brokers and exchange operators who systematically lied about the risks of their 24/7 gambling spree, and the defense and security mafia who promote the lie about 9/11 and the risk of “asymmetric” wars – we have moved so close to the precipice that denying this reality is harder and harder, each and every day.
As Barack Obama said on Sunday September 11, 2011: “God is our refuge”.
