Ted Cruz comes up empty on Obamacare as government continues debt scam

In August of 1942 the creator of the Batman series Bob Kane, created another memorable character who rose to prominence in Gotham City, his name was Harvey Dent.

Dent captivated constituents of Gotham as the city’s youngest District Attorney, as man who was groomed to clean up the dirty criminal enterprises controlling Gotham’s city hall and back alleyways. The young DA tackled organized crime with a bravado rarely seen, that is until he suffered a terrible injury at the hands of the very criminals he was trying to bust. The result was his transformation from city hero, into Two Face, the troubled and deeply flawed character tormented by his new appearance, forever erasing the image of a well spoken leader critical of the establishment in Gotham

As the United States Senate and House of Representatives passed a proposal to reopen the federal government without any measures against the implementation of Obamacare, Ted Cruz (Harvey Dent-like  Protagonist/Antagonist? ) Republican Senator from Texas, threw in the towel on Obamacare, in what he himself called in August of 2013,the number one job killer in America.”

In a bizarre turn of events following an inspirational weekend at DC’s WW2 Memorial and Iwo Jima rallies with veterans and Ride for the Constitution truckers, Cruz, along with a majority of lawmakers failed to block the implementation of Obamacare, while simultaneously voting to increase the country’s debt continuing the devaluation of the US dollar.

Cruz’s move to not delay the debt deal shocked constitutional conservatives across the US, remember it was Cruz who was staunchly opposed the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and its implementation. Even though Cruz is said to have voted ‘no’ on raising the debt ceiling and its funding of the Affordable Care Act, one wonders why he along with many other conservatives caved in without any change to legislation that appears to be an overreach by the government, nevermind the hyper inflation caused by the debt increase.

Cruz’s 21 hour filibuster in September over Obamacare seems like a distant memory, as he played his part well, perhaps playing the role of controlled opposition, giving the illusion of choice, a sobering thought as we near another election cycle in 2014.

Is Cruz the Tea Party patriot he claims to be? I think its important for people to not fall prey to potential signs of political duplicity.

Cruz’s direct connections to the banking world are certainly suspect, as his wife,  Heidi Cruz, is said to manage the investments of high-profile clients as the acting vice president of a Private Wealth Management Group at Goldman Sachs in Texas.

Both President Obama and 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney have deep financial ties to banking juggernaut Goldman Sachs. The revelation that Cruz is also tied to the inner workings of the banking elite, is startling to say the least.

Below is a Youtube video featuring a CBS news report from October 2008 showcasing Obama’s largest corporate donor, Goldman Sachs, following the financial bailout that cost Americans billions…

The Israeli controlled American Enterprise Institute had an article back in July quoting Goldman Sachs’s position on the employer mandate portion of Obamacare:

The delay should have modest near-term labor market implications. Some employers have indicated that they either have or will shift to more part-time workers in response to the health law. If this were occurring, it would have a positive effect on payrolls (assuming one full-time job is replaced with multiple part-time jobs) but would show up as a greater number of part-time workers in the household survey. This is to some degree what we have seen in recent employment reports, where part-time workers as a share of the population have risen since the start of the year, while full-time employment has been essentially flat.”

Not surprisingly, Goldman Sachs defends Obamacare and its effects on the marketplace and even reports that there will be a “positive effect” for company payrolls, as they will have less full-time workers to pay healthcare for.

The Cruz connection to Goldman Sachs is a significant one, one that could have dire consequences for him during a future campaign run among constitutional voters.

We should also note that Cruz was a student of Harvard Law Professor and well-known Lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Dershowitz, is known to be  heavily entrenched in Israeli interests.

Did Cruz and other constitutional conservatives flip a coin on America’s fate for a different agenda?

Cruz Won’t Delay Senate Vote

COLLEEN MCCAIN NELSON and KRISTINA PETERSON

Sen. Ted Cruz came up empty-handed Wednesday in his battle to gut the Affordable Care Act, saying that he wouldn’t stand in the way of a Senate budget deal that includes none of the major changes to the health-care law that conservatives were seeking.

Mr. Cruz’s high-profile fight against the law known as Obamacare kicked off last month with a headline-grabbing 21-hour speech, and on Wednesday, it appeared likely to end—at least for the moment—with a political defeat for the Texas Republican.

Mr. Cruz said he would cast a “no” vote against a Senate proposal to reopen the government and avert default, but he had no intention of trying to block what he viewed as an inevitable result.

“There’s nothing to be gained from delaying this vote one day or two days,” he said. “The outcome will be the same.”

With momentum building Wednesday for passage of the bipartisan Senate proposal to end the budget stalemate, Mr. Cruz faced a significant setback in his effort to repeal the health-care law. The Senate deal contained only a minor change to Obamacare, casting aside calls from Mr. Cruz and his allies to delay, defund or otherwise rewrite the law.

After attending a meeting of Senate Republicans Wednesday, Mr. Cruz lashed out at the Washington establishment and some of his fellow senators, rejecting the suggestion that his push to derail the health-care law proved to be a costly and ultimately unsuccessful battle.

“Unfortunately, once again, it appears the Washington establishment is refusing to listen to the American people,” he said.

While Mr. Cruz pointed to the Americans who had voiced opposition to the Affordable Care Act as evidence that this effort had been worthwhile, some of his colleagues took to the Senate floor to lament the price of tying the health-care law to legislation that funds the government.

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H) underscored her opposition to Obamacare but said, “Shutting down the government is not a smart strategy.”

The Treasury has said it would exhaust its emergency borrowing powers on Thursday and be left with only about $30 billion, enough to pay the country’s bills for a week or two.

Until Wednesday, Mr. Cruz’s strategy had remained a mystery, and some of his colleagues questioned whether he might force a delay.

Mr. Cruz hadn’t signaled his plans as Senate leaders wrapped up work on their proposal, remaining tight-lipped about whether he and his allies would stand down from their fight to defund the health-care law. With time running short before a potential default and some measure of momentum gathering for the bipartisan Senate plan, Mr. Cruz had limited options to derail or significantly delay a vote.

Mr. Cruz has been in the spotlight much of the past few weeks, emerging as a powerful player after delivering his marathon speech on the Senate floor and pushing conservative House Republicans to tie defunding the health-care law to reopening the government. But the first-term senator had kept a lower profile at the Capitol this week, declining to speak with reporters and remaining mum on his strategy going forward.

Tuesday night, he delivered a keynote address via videoconference to a Republican group in Alabama, continuing to decry the health-care law, which he called “the biggest job killer in the country.”

Mr. Cruz lauded House Republicans’ efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, according to a report from the Alabama Media Group, but he sounded less optimistic that he and his allies would prevail.

“We may not achieve everything we hope to achieve in this fight,” he said. “But we have seen the American people rise up and we have seen the House of Representatives listen to the people, and that is the model I’m going to suggest we take forward.”
