21st Century Wire says…
28 year old Brazilian national David Miranda, who is Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald’s partner, was held in lock-down for 9 hours when reentering the UK via Heathrow Airport from Berlin.
Miranda was in Berlin allegedly visiting another Guardian journalist and colleague of Greenwald also working on the Ed Snowden scandal story, and was detained, questioned and had all of his electronic possessions confiscated under the controversial Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act of 2000.
Following the nine hour ordeal, Miranda was released and allowed to continue his journey to Brazil.
